Not For Thin Skins . . . . Real Talk

Many on this board know that I spend some time looking at more than one quote, one prediction or what ever falls in place.

Spent some time looking over the link below, scratched my head and said what the heck.

Not going to say a lot in this post, maybe the picture comes clearer if those that post read some of the stats that are presented.

I still have one question . . . . maybe more than one :)

Simple question . . . . Why? Why do these young men do so well in the pros and we seem to struggle in Athens?

Now, talking about 2014, we seem to understand that the Special Teams need some "coaching".

Many folks that claim to be Red and Black seem to think that Jeremy Pruitt is the end all cure all.

I think that Jeremy Pruitt was needed, I also believe that there were others that needed to be replaced. Jeremy Pruitt can not do this alone, Erk tried and it was hard to swim upstream.

Hoping for the best. One thing that is apparent is that Pruitt is looking for a certain type of player. Body build, speed, other stuff.

Before the 2014 Season is over, Sims will be the starting left tackle. I said that. Spent the weekend in Lowndes County with a group of UGA and FSU folks. More than interesting. Will say more later on.

ogredawg, spent some time with those mentioned above in Ole Times, Exit 18. :)

I suppose this is my question. It is being asked by others.

This comes from the link.

It is interesting that Alabama does not appear on the “most efficient” list for any round. Georgia and Florida are the only colleges to appear three times in the most efficient column. Are Alabama players “overdrafted”? This at least raises the issue.

On the least efficient side, Ohio State appears on that list for five of the seven rounds. Another potential case of “overdrafting”? Again, no definitive answer here but the issue is raised./b]

With the group that I spent some time with, the FSU leaders seem to think that they are ready to do it again.

So interesting listening to folks that are "in the know". That statement simply means those close enough to the different programs to speak to the "programs".

FSU is loaded. FSU group also said UGA made a "solid" move in hiring Jeremy Pruitt. All agreed that UGA would be better than we have been for some time. Eyes are on UGA. Not one in the FSU group that would not take Pruitt back. They loved Pruitt. Results speak for themselves, I suppose.

Steve, seems the board needs Spring Practice to get some conversation. Really understand, cannot talk about what is not known.

There is however a lot to be discussed, have to look a bit deeper.

Really like what I see going on with recruiting.

2014 is the first year in many years that I have felt that "we" are on track again.

UGA has been a big bundle of "nothing" for far too long.

We have changed some things, but "we" are still a middle of the road team.

Really don't mind talking to myself, this board is not a "loud board".

Take that last statement back. This board is loud in the "Spring" "Fall" and after we lose to Nebraska. I said that.

Having spoken to many Georgia people, Alabama people and others, all agree, Pruitt can coach.
Have not heard one disparaging remark about his coaching acumen.

We will definitely improve.
How much depends on the ol and qb.

averagedawg, you asked. Offensive line does not come close to being a SEC offensive line. Have young folks "hanging" around that have not proven anything.

Until Georgia (Richt) understands that the offensive line is the key, we will always be in the middle of the pack. I believe that.
