College Football is really not that sophisticated or complicated...

To be good:

You need a LOT of big fast guys that are not stoopid. You need one smart guy who can throw the ball well. You need a couple of really fast receivers and running backs. You need a culture that accepts/embraces big fast non-stoopid guys even if they are not that smart. You need a coaching staff that keeps things simple so the non stoopid guys dont screw up. The coaching staff also needs to be disceplined to figure out which guys are stoopid and get rid of them.

To be champions:

All of the above plus a lot more fast guys and a little luck.

Yeah Scooby... I don't think there is any need for an apology about tone. While it may be a bit of an over simplification because at this level a lot of teams all have fast, big, not stoopid guys... there is a tendency at times for people to over complicate the game.

It is simple to a degree.. you run, you block, you tackle. Do those things better than he other guy and you win.
