Not For Thin Skins . . . . Real Talk

Good post by everyone, and I to agree that we need more wrinkles in our offence. It does not take a genuiness to figure our run on 1st down, run on 2nd down, pass long, punt. How many times did we have to watch this last year and for that manor every year. We fans can guess what play you are going to run, don't you think the opposing D can figure it out.

Like Buc said I don't foresee our OL being any better this year than before, I do however believe our D will be better, has to be after last year, not to sure what to expect from ST, but again has to be better than last year.

One problem I see is our head coach, for me I do not believe we will ever win the SEC much less play in the NC. He just does not know how to coach, does not know how to motivate. Why do we play every team down on their level, how often do we blow out a team. CMR is just not the man to lead us, he has to come up with gemicks to try to get these kids motivated, something is not right.

One last thing, HM will be our QB unless he gets hurt, I will bet you is does not matter how poorly HM may play, no other QB will play unless HM gets hurt. I'm not saying the HM is not our guy, but Like Buc said, he is not a runner like Futon, but MR is loyal, and HM stayed and waited his turn, so you can bet he will play no matter how good the others perform. That is the other problem I have with CMR, will not us the best players on the field.

While on the subject of coaching with fire in the belly.

There is no doubt that Pruitt will coach that way. Also believe he will play more young men than we have seen play defense previously in 13 years.

He will build depth through "earned" minutes in practice, film room and books. Believe he will play and replay young pups until he finds the lead dog at a particular position. That is the first step to building a defense that helps a team reach the final four.

Duck, Richt made a statement recently and Wartdawg laid it out in bold type. Basically what the head coach said was, there are more important things than football. While he is correct, just makes some wonder as to why he does not move on to more important things. All of us have a choice. At this point I choose to be in the final four and win a National Championship. Takes a full time commited leader. My opinion.

Loved Shockley (heck I named my dog after him). I, too want a mobile QB, but in a pro style offense.

My point was simply that the offense wasn't the problem and may need a 20% tweeking where the D and ST's need 75% tweeking.....at least.
Imo, our offense put up enough points to win any ballgame. PLUS, a big thing to me we don't think that much about is how many possessions the offense gets per game. If the D could stop ANYBODY our offense may get 2-3 more possessions a game.

That certainly contributed to FSU's scoring so many points and winning by such large margins.
