Call it Like it is . . . .

Was a big HM fan but the Neb. game cooled me off a bit. I like a QB that has fire in his belly, one that doesn't get defeated even when they lose, one that can light a fire under someones butt when they under preform, one that puts in the extra effort and lets others know if they want the ball on game day they better be doing the same. I'm with the rest of you every position should be open every year. Did AM put on the cruise control no he worked harder. Do you think TG is taking it easy, I think not. Love to see FB come out in the spring and dominate, So they'll have something to think about over the summer.

Had to go back, this paragraph could set me off to post thousands of words.

We now IMHO do not have a starting QB who can set up our much talented running game. With HM at the helm it will be the running game setting up our passing game and HM does not have the arm IMHO to do that. Our running game was good last year when injury free because of the arm of AM, the respect that other teams had for him and his "it" factor. Not so this year, and hope I am wrong and HM breaks out and does as well or better than Greene ever did. If he does do that we will have a great year on offense and a Heisman winner in TG and that long sought after SEC title and our shot at crystal.

I really hope that I am not coming across as being totally against Hutson Mason. First off I admire him for staying with "us". All of us know that we want what is best for the "overall", not just self.

Believe that we will get "answers" quickly in the first two games. That applies to players and coaches. Both of those teams have solid rosters also. Clemson may have a starting quarterback with "wheels". South Carolina is hosting UGA in Columbia. Not much more needs to be said about the quality of competition.

Maybe we will be a three point (home field) advantage against Clemson.

We beat South Carolina in Columbia, our recruiting will explode. My opinion.

Not against HM either Buc. Just got spoiled with AM. Even when he had a bad game and AM did have a few like all QB's do, it was his never give up and "ice water in his veins" factors. He was a coach on the field and we are going to miss that factor big time...

Spot on ogredawg. AM came to campus, got involved in his "work".

Could move into a offensive coordinators position right now. Talking D1. He refused to as you say "give up". Will never forget his facial expression just after taking the lead against Auburn, and then . . . . Probably JHC's next stop. It is truthfully very hard not to be a toad, or as some say a turd.

Don't tell anyone that I said this . . . . short time down the road, AM is the offensive coordinator at the University of Georgia. I said that.

Started to post this earlier today, stepped back, but see the media brought this forward.

www.gainesville.com/article/20140224/ART...S/140229825/0/sports

After the above, this link was posted. In the red underscore you will see the above that came from gainesville, florida.

dogbytesonline.com/mcgarity-hopes-sec-ch...georgia-games-81581/

Remember the talk here about declining butts in the seats? The group tried to blow it off through the media airwaves.

Comes to the point that football on the field cannot be all that is needed. Now we pipe in music and who knows what else.

McGarity seems to always have an excuse or reason as to why things are not positive. What the hell happened to Georgia Football in Sanford Stadium. Copy the ACC and Clemson? Tail wagging the dog again.

Folks in Florida are not happy and if Muschamp does not turn the program around this year, and most important, beat UGA, he is gone. Muschamp knows that and he is asking folks to fill the seats. Why should we not call this exactly as the gator faithful see it . . . . ready . . . . they hate anything that has to do with Georgia Bulldogs.

Promise this . . . . Muschamp has his sights set on JAX. Georgia folks want to pay him back for his "chosen words" about the University of Georgia, kick the gators again in JAX. Jeremy Foley can only take so much.

Some of you remember there were a couple of gators that lived in the Atlanta area that posted here and rubbed our noses in the wins and losses? Several years back, but this is now getting interesting.

So much to be said, so little space . . . .

Only meaningful difference in the HM/Bauta situation reguarding basically equal PT is HM has been in the system longer and may have a stronger handle on reading D's, checking off OL blocking, plays etc. Would think it takes a while to learn enough to get on the field.

As great as AM was, he made a TON of mistakes his 1st year....and he obviously was twice the player these guys are..

Imo, it takes time.

let me rephrase that......great posts but YOURS wlayton...  JK wlayton JK...

sure HM has been in the system longer but if you can't learn the system in your first 2 years then you don't need to be in the system. Yes AM made mistakes his first year but he was in the system only 1 year prior to starting. The fault being is that he was healthy during his time until Kentucky and we had so many close games that HM never got the chance to get any meaningful playing time which you cannot sub for time in the system.
Playing time is where it is at and both HM and FB know the system or like I said they would not be here...

Funny ogredawg, wouldn't expect anything less from you. ;)

They may or may not "totally" know the UGA system....yet, That's my whole point. Certainly have to believe HM is further along in the learning process than Bauta or Ramsey, that's to be expected imo.

I, too would definitely prefer Bauta but not if he has less knowledge of UGA's system and goes out and makes a bunch of bad decisions......I've seen enough of that on the D side of the ball.

We're on the same page but imo I simply think HM knows the UGA system more thoroughly at this point in time.
