After reading your post yankeedawg1, one of your comments that stuck out to me.
Many years ago when I lived in the Winter Park area in Central Florida, I had some dealings with the Sentinel and one of their sports writers used to free lance for me. By the way, he was a Auburn graduate, never held that against him . . . . openly. I jest.
Picked the following up from the Orlando Sentinel, will post the link below.
One thing that really stood out to me in the article was how much Muschamp and Richt have followed the same path, somewhat.
Both seem to have problems getting the right coaches in the right positions to teach. Coaching turnovers cause many problems more times than not. I would point to Garner leaving and taking x amount of Georgia recruits with him. No doubt the young players that are attending Auburn now would have been a welcomed site in Athens.
Guess I am back to what many on this board including myself have said. Hoping that Richt comes to the realization that after 13 years, entering his 14th, appears he has finally added some pieces to the puzzle that have been with us for far too long.
Things being mentioned around the internet like . . . . Running punts back. Special emphasis on Special Teams. Other worthy thoughts about football being brought up concerning UGA and key situations. Have a feeling that the head coach might learn a thing or two this season . . . . if he pays attention to what is going on.
Still waiting to hear about McClendon's raise. McGarity don't play mind games. Handing out titles is one thing, as I have mentioned before, does not pay the bills.
Yes, Muschamp has to produce this year. When he mentions folks need to buy tickets and attend the games, there is a reason for that. Empty seats in the Swamp will get your fanny fired. FACT.
