Understand jury still out on offense however think CWF leans on playing who is best
Not shy about making changes during the game. Do remember CMR. Starting MS midseason
So he might be open to full competition at QB. Old dog remembering old tricks ?

Yeah YD1 MS had to step up because JT was not getting the job done. cmr had no choice. HM is a better QB than JT as was Cox. Just don't think any position should be handed down because of loyalty. Afraid it will be JC all over again. A good QB playing ahead of a much better QB like I think FB is.

"I think that HM is MUCH further along than Bauta or Ramsey right now. I don’t see Bauta or Ramsey beating out HM. That being said, HM is not Murray. I think he will be much more like David Greene. However, this will be his first year starting except for the last two games. There will be growing pains I’m sure. I think that they’ll have to rely more heavily on the ground game. I think that HM will do ok, but I think we’ll grow to appreciate Murray more. The Gator Bowl was a good example.
I think that Bauta and Ramsey will play if they’re better. However I don’t think they are. They have no experience, and they’ve both got a long way to go. You could see Bauta get playing time in certain situations where they can use his running ability. He’s like Tebow when it comes to running the football."

Make no mistake about it: AM single handedly willed this UGA team to the point where it almost beat
'Bama in the SEC champ game... nothing else.

First off, HM has the job, don't think it is a case of "beating him out". Coaches have said he is the starter. Would be surprised if those in Athens moved away from their positions of "keeping their word". Maybe at some point the offensive minds will take a long, hard look at what the defensive side is preparing to do. Change for a greater cause.
Like you, I talk with some that seem to think that Faton Bauta is a "brighter, more athletic player" than Hutson Mason. I am told that Hutson Mason does not read as quickly as the more proven quarterbacks. Arm strength, both Bauta and Ramsey have stronger arms.
As to the Tebow comparison, that really made me scratch my head. Your friend is right when he compares Bauta and Tebow running with power. Difference between the two, Bauta has some wiggle along with power, Tebow was power. Bauta faster than Tebow.
Read an article sometime back when AM was still in Athens. He is one of those that said Faton catches on in an instant. Not to be ugly, Tebow was not the brightest bulb on the tree.
Another point from where I sit. If Hutson Mason is somewhat of a clone of David Greene, unless Theus and one or two more fail to show up again, I can see someone at quarterback that has the ability to escape.
As far as experience, Hutson Mason has been an understudy. While he was playing that part, Faton Bauta was taking the second teamers and gaining experience against our first string defense.
Like you said wlayton, much of the above coming from a friend who you respect for his knowledge in football. This is why we discuss things. Playing the quarterback position is one thing, coaching quarterbacks and running an offense differ greatly.
Just thoughts.

Hope you're right, but I won't believe it until I see it.
Many people wont believe in Pruitt and our D until they "show it" on the field.
I feel the same thing about our O-line... show me on the field we can be more consistent, until then it's
just hot air.
