Pruitt was very aggressive at FSU, using his defensive backs often to make life harder for the opposing quarterback.
“We want to be sound, we want to be aggressive, but we want to make the other team earn it,” the 39-year old Pruitt said. “There’s a fine line of being aggressive and giving up plays.”
Richt said the players asked Pruitt about his defense and he told them it is “simple enough where you guys can turn it loose and play some football” and if “you can’t execute it, we’re not going to call it.”
Music to my ears. Why run or try to run what the coach understands, not the players?

Beginning to think that Richt and grantham had a face to face and I believe it was before the JAX game against Nebraska. Actually think it was right after or just before the 2013 regualar season ended.
Reading too many accounts of how the hire came down, while it was quick, really quick where Richt is concerned based on previous hires.
Really matters not.
If we get to see a defense play fast and a healthy offense, with good offensive line play, this could be a team to keep our eyes on. As if we would not.
