buc, i don't usually toot my own horn on here, but i believe it was 2 seasons ago we specifically talked about OLmen. i specifically remember writing on this board (and you agreeing with me) that we need more 5 STAR OLmen. I don't remember who it was but someone posted back to me that stars are over rated....i said that can be tru sometimes, but if you go back and look in the NFL at the % of players who were 5 star, 4 star, etc., you will see that those STARS usually corelate to the NFL.
Just heard on the Athens sports station 2 DAYS AGO a study just done that usually the All Americans were 4/5 star, not 1/2 stars. Sure, there are the JJ Watts and Pollacks and Thomas Davis's, but those are the EXCEPTIONS, not the rule.
Get 5 OLmen in here every class that are 4/5 stars, and you will see more guys getting to the NFL> Period. FACT.
Some will be busts. BUt if your team recruits five OLme, who are 2 stars, and MY team recruits five OLmen who are 5 stars, my team WILL have more All Conference //All-American//NFL drafted players than will your team.
Buc, keep up the heat on this OL, situation. I think we are down to one weak leak on our staff, and I don't mean CMR. If all the assistants are like McClendon and Pruitt, then we can win with MR IF he stays out of the way, and I'm fine with that.
I still wouldn't give up on Hyatt. That's not my nature. My goodness, I don't care about the excuse he grew up Clemson....how many "life long" dawgs fans ahve we had sign elsewehere??????I know AU has a couple on the DL JUST THE PAST 2 SEASONS.
Get it done WF, or get the hell out of town
