Thought about the post and thread for 24 hours, not wanting to be too far away from the truth. However, think some here need to be honest not only to the board, need to be honest to themselves.

mark richt is responsible for every hire made to his coaching staff since his arrival in Athens.

mark richt is also the person that says yes or no to a young player attending UGA. Final say on scholarships.

mark richt is surrounded by universities that have won National Championships, some more than once.

Pruitt hire made and now mark richt has fixed the problem he has had for how many years?


It is understandable that not every football player in Georgia has a loyalty to the State University, it also does not rule out being able to recruit and keep those players in the State of Georgia. There have to be reasons. Simple fact.

Why do so many young players choose to leave Georgia and play elsewhere, especially SEC schools? I have a thought on that. Other teams in the SEC are winning championships, had a run of seven (7) straight National Championships. Talking Crystal Trophy, not a runners up plaque such as the one Auburn received this past season. When under mark richt have we won either?

Want to read "feel good thread and posts", that is your perogative. It is also mine and others rights to call the "game" as we see it.

Said more than once on this board . . . . I am not going to "fall back" again into the same hole that I did before.

Nothing wrong with giving a head coach time to develop his plan. From where I sit, mark richt is past damn due to develop a plan that adds UGA to the Crystal list.

Richt's "plan" is to surround yourself with those who make you appear competent.

Another article below that I find interesting. Reading a lot about Jeremy Pruitt, don't seem to find much about mark richt.

Anyone see this kind of talk going on about programs in Alabama or Auburn or South Carolina, or LSU? Says to me that those programs rely on their leaders. Could be a reason for that.

Like averagedawg said, Pruitt better be the "cure", otherwise, those that don't like noise on this board and others, bet here is it will be loud.

Allow me this averagedawg . . . . Miles was "just dumb" enough to add his name to the list of coaches with a National Championship . . . . as the head coach. And richt?

Maybe his players and coaches can drag him across the finish line.

Buc, obviously, you know I'm in agreement with you. I've "discussed" my "negative" (see truthful) posts with others over the years. I kept hearing how I shouldn't post this or that, and that I was accused of everything from scaring recruits away to being a poor fan to being responsible for the program's decline, and maybe even responsible for Kennedy's assassination.
Point is, like you said, truth is truth and if folks don't like seeing it, don't read my posts. Some say the glass is half full (optimist), others the glass is half empty (pessimist), I say the glass is half a pint (realist, fact stater).
