Granthm's circle has moved north.
Wonder how many Georgia boys he can recruit to Louisville.

Seem to remember that grantham was working Lamont Gaillard since moving to Louisville. If that does not pan out for grantham, don't think he has anything to look forward to averagedawg.

grantham did not have that "thing" that many players are looking for. Again, that is my opinion. He was satisfied to remain in Athens and have talent come to him. Pruitt has probably logged more miles in his short time in Athens than grantham did for his entire stay.

Couple of places that UGA football players talk about football and there does not seem to be any remorse with grantham leaving and Pruitt taking over.

Would be surprised to see grantham make it through the current contract at Louisville. Probably his last shot.

What you think?

I'm with you, Buc.
Get it while you can, I guess.
Probably end up a position coach at a lower tier NFL team.

Agree that the NFL "Buddy system" would probably keep grantham out of the soup line. But, with the money he has made thus far, what kind of crazy talk coming from me about a soup line . . . .

One thing that I believe most of us can wrap our arms around . . . . There is no way that Pruitt should take a step back in his first year in Athens. He has been very smart with his hires. Here I go again . . . . "continuity".

If Pruitt and his group of coaches get our group of talented players to the point they can play "fast", the defense not only has size in the middle, two deep, maybe more, could very well take on the look of the FSU defense, and that ain't bad.

Going to say this, don't mean anything bad. Pruitt is probably a very good teacher and leader, I suspect Pruitt is a "calculating" individual. That is meant in the best sense of the word. Eye vision is a great thing, brain vision is a winner, hands down.

At this point do I worry about Pruitt getting these young pups to play fast, nope. This change will light some fires under athletes already in Athens that will hold Pruitt to his opening remarks. Basically, work for what you get. No favorites, hard work on the practice field and in the film room.

Playing the what if . . . . if Carter ends up in Athens (I do fear he might go to FSU) and incoming recruit Keyon Brown end up playing together, with the talent already assembled, UGA can play with ANYONE. That includes urban meyer. ESPN's choice. Keyon Brown will play in Athens in 2014, and by the end of the year other teams will have to game plan for him. He is known in the State of Florida, and FSU is still in his ear.

Pruitt's defense is going to be hard to throw on, especially when talking about high percentage tosses. He likes the 3-3-5 and the 4-2-5.

If grantham were still here, Clemson would cause me to worry, then a week off and South Carolina in Columbia, another worry.

While we have not played these two games, I have this feeling that Clemson's quarterback, and if it is the young man from Gainesville, Georgia, young fellow is going to have a eye opening day between the Hedges.

South Carolina lost one of the grittest quarterbacks that I can remember playing college football. That is a plus for UGA. Guarantee you SS and company are spending time looking at everything they can put their hands on when it comes to Pruitt.

Find out quickly where we stack up in the East. Can say this, folks I know down this way are not licking their chops about JAX this year. Could very well be a dismissal of Muschamp if JAX ends up in UGA's favor. Which I fully expect.

Yeah, Buc, I think the players bought into the Pruitt philosophy Day One.
A big relief for those kids.
Pruitt, I think, will simplify it enough to make it more complicated for opposing offenses, if that makes any sense.
Also, from what I see, Pruitt will adjust his defense during a game. A good thing.
