I appreciate all opinions, whether I agree or not.
Mine is that no matter how I spin it, all roads lead to Richt.

Guess my thinking is this, wlayton--you are right, all this has been covered before. But this a message board, for discussion. Different folks are discussing what appeals to them. If it's the same thing, who cares??? If that's what those folks want to talk about, why not? I don't think anybody is saying, "hey wlayton, what do you think about richt, again". If so I could see your point. But to me, it's an open discussion, if anyone wants to discuss, jump in, if not, just read or don't, or take a break, whatever.
Still don't get why it's implied that certain subjects should not be talked about, or talked about too much?

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Steve that is what we can "look forward" to, the changes. As ogredawg and others have said, let's take the new coaching hires one step at a time.

About Jeremy Pruitt. While he is a "country boy" from Alabama, he ain't no damn fool.

Much of what I have seen, read and thought about Pruitt basically comes down to this for me.

Pruitt would never have taken a job on the Athens campus if he was not aware of the talent on the side of the ball he will coach.

Why do I say that? Will Friend and Jeremy Pruitt have talked to each other weekly, prior to Pruitt's arrival for years. No doubt in my mind that Will Friend said to his "buddy" that there is an enormous amount of talent in Athens, capable of playing incredible defense. Go to the bank with that statement.

Pruitt could have remained in Tallahassee if he had wanted to. Much media garbage out there about his "messing around". He is still a young stud in my mind, not breaking the law, more power to Jeremy. Hell, he may be the cause for more beautiful young ladies returning to watch UGA football. Lord knows that there are more than a handful in Athens already, has always been that way.

Pruitt has enough talent on the defense he will coach that can compete with any SEC team, or any team in the country. Must remember what ogredawg continues to say . . . . prove it. That is not a negative thought, that is a thought coming from an individual that understands the game.

Goes like this . . . . mark richt needs to understand that his time is up. Need I say this again . . . . he is following in the footsteps of Bobby Bowden. Bobby Bowden was not a defensive coach, neither is mark richt.

I am in agreement. Got it! I just wish CMR wasn't coach so I didn't have to listen to the negativity he is bringing on the discussions of the football program. ;) That is wnat I meant no matter what I said in my haste. Sic em Dawgs. Bite em if need be!

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

No problem, different strokes for different folks I guess....nothing wrong with that. For me, when I get the point, I get the point.
