Pretty much lays it all out perfectly....
I found this quote astonishing:
lineman John Theus told the Athens Banner Herald. “I think they kind of caught us by surprise. They came out with a lot of energy and they were playing really hard. … I realized it the first drive. I don’t know about everybody else. I got beat off the edge and I realized they ain’t no joke.”
Really??? REALLY????? They came out with a lot of energy and they were playing hard.. AND THAT CAUGHT YOU BY SURPRISE????????????
What was the coaching staff preparing you for all week?? App State again?
Oh wait... It's a pretty big assumption that the coaching staff prepared you for an actual game...

First off apologize 36869, (not 36969). Being in the publishing business so long, drives me nuts to do that. Don't have folks correcting my work as I once did.
Wartdawg, sadlerdawg called Will Friend out on Theus Saturday. The comment you post falls right in line with what sadlerdawg meant.
I follow college football everywhere, thought this might be the right place to concur with your readiness quote on Theus, Wartdawg.

And the coaching staff is inspiring confidence among its players.
“They know how to prepare for a game and tell us exactly what they want us to do and how they see it, and paint that picture for us and we can go and execute it right now,” said Baylor defensive end Chris McAllister.

An exceptional person.
Now if the coaches could only follow his lead.

If for whatever reason he's not successful in the NFL would love to see him come back to UGA and coach. Pretty much a coach already with how he prepares for games. Damn sure think he knows a little bit more than the current staff In Athens.

That will almost certainly be the "coaching" staff's pre-emptive excuse for our lackluster season next year.

Yeah I agree. But who's fault is it that mason hasn't had enough playing time to gain experience? Hmm mark I wonder who (sarcasm).
