sadlerdawg, some lead, as you and a few others did, some like me follow. Did notice the lower case "r".

If the pattern remains as it has in past seasons sadlerdawg and 36869, come February most will "back slide". There will be a lot of "press work" by those that "manage and control the money" to tilt the facts. Facts = 9-3 seasons most of the time or there about.

We (UGA) will continue to put players in the NFL. Why not . . . . lots of talent, and we run the same offense and offensive plays that the NFL runs. That however at the college ranks leaves new and fresh ideas to high school coaches that enter the SEC and other conferences to totally "befuddle" richt and grantham. Truth.

You folks have heard this from me before, going to do it again.

We have a player in Athens now that can do things at the quarterback position that even Nick Marshall cannot do and is being lauded as the meat and potatoes of the Auburn team. Huge press following Nick.

Faton Bauta appears to me is going to die on the vine. richt is head strong to the point of ignorance when it comes to "changing or improving" what our "recruited personnel" are capable of.

Faton Bauta is the young man that runs the Scout Team, especially when we are preparing for an offense like Auburn. Sometimes I get bits and pieces second hand from the players on campus through others off campus that I know.

Faton Bauta has not an "average arm", he can and does make all of the throws. He has the strength and running ability of Douglas. AND HE IS VERY SMART, both in class and on the football field. Faton also knows the playbook backwards and forwards.

This will be another colossal mistake of the "richt era". They want their quarterbacks to play a certain way. That certain way has yet to produce results, unless you are only looking for SEC East Championships, of which we won't get this year, and guess what, richt and company leave too much talent on the benches . . . . again. Can only imagine AM behind the Alabama offensive line for the past 4 or 5 years.

Edit: This is the type of player that Urban Meyer loves. Faton Bauta however has an outstanding arm. Many down my way thought that Faton would sign with the gators. Incredible athlete and student. pp on you richt.

That will almost certainly be the "coaching" staff's pre-emptive excuse for our lackluster season next year.

Actually they are set for the next couple of years for excuses. They've done a great job of setting it up...

Next year the excuse is new QB and 3 new starters on the line.

The following year, we get yet another new QB... and Gurley will have left for the NFL.

Buc, thanks for the credit. You are right that article touched on a lot of the same points I and (others)have over the years. the slow starts and playing as if they have never watched game film as always been a pet peeve of mine.

You have preached depth for some time and next year will prove you are once again right. I can't believe there is that much difference between our #1 and # 2 that we can't get more guys in there to gain experience. One of the games I watched over the weekend the team was switching out their entire O line during the game. That is how you build depth. (as you and others have said many times). Even Mason should have gotten a ton more snaps this year.

Reload not rebuild is not a cliche it should be a philosophy.

Lunch is over.. but I will leave you with this thought.

A great offensive line can make an average running back look good a hell of a lot easier than a great running back can make an average O'line look good.

Not gonna bother with talking about our D...that horse is dead and should be in the glue factory cause there is no hope for Todd Grantham.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

Richt says he's 'real comfortable' with decision to rush three on Auburn's miracle TD play.

Therein lies the problem, too comfortable.

Jeremy Foley and the President of Florida know that there is a huge problem with the masses.

All one has to do is listen to what Muschamp is saying this late in the season to understand he knows what Jeremy Foley "will do".

I don't get that same feeling when thinking about McGarity. UGA is a situation that has a head coach who has been around for a long time. Not the case with Muschamp.

Looking forward to 2014 and the teams we will face, has been said that our 2014 opponents would be easier than our 2013 opponents. Again looking over the matchups, can see some teams that did not seem to fear us this year and they will be around in 2014.

One or two slips in 2014, this schedule does not get us anywhere close to the Crystal or SEC Championship. Losing AM, many seem to think that Hutson Mason will step right in. I hope so, it will however be a challenge as 36869 said, did not get a lot of playing time for some of the young pups.

Last year (I think) of todd grantham's contract, that will be interesting. Let's face it, before or soon after 2014, there will be some changes. Would not be surprised to see Bryan McClendon receiving some serious offers. That would hurt recruiting in the State of Florida. Just saying.
