You have preached depth for some time and next year will prove you are once again right. I can't believe there is that much difference between our #1 and # 2 that we can't get more guys in there to gain experience. One of the games I watched over the weekend the team was switching out their entire O line during the game. That is how you build depth. (as you and others have said many times). Even Mason should have gotten a ton more snaps this year.

Reload not rebuild is not a cliche it should be a philosophy.

Lunch is over.. but I will leave you with this thought.

A great offensive line can make an average running back look good a hell of a lot easier than a great running back can make an average O'line look good.

Not gonna bother with talking about our D...that horse is dead and should be in the glue factory cause there is no hope for Todd Grantham.

Going back and reading "all" of the posts for a second or third time takes me to this one. Some posts and thoughts really "stick out". This one "stuck out" to me. Quickest way to get my attention is talk offensive line. Say it again, most of the game starts there.

Something else that really sticks out, and AllDawgs5 has mentioned it more than once. Hire or fix the Special Teams. It is not on the players "all of the time". Ship sailed before richt got the message. Stubborn is as stubborn does.

36869, going back to your post again about substituting. You mentioned Hutson Mason, and make a very good point.

Now Hutson gets his chance to show why he remained in Athens. I admire him for that, know that he considered strongly leaving for a starting job elsewhere.

Hutson Mason puts "touch" on the football. That is not the easiest thing in the game to do. That is somewhat like a baseball pitcher throwing a "change up". Tough pitch to perfect.

Makes it easier for "some" to catch. Throws a real nice "spiral" which puts the nose of the football in the receivers hands. Real important in the game against GT.

Too bad that Hutson's start comes because AM is injured, but guarantee this, AM will be in Hutson's corner. AM does not, has not, will ever have an EGO problem. Fate sent AM to us, and this reinforces my belief in FATE.

Feel so bad for Murray, came back to win a championship ends up tearing an acl. Might make his draft stock go down too, but whoever gets him will end up drafting a gem.

Mason looked good against Kentucky, hope he got the first game gitters out.

Tech fans around these parts think they have a chance against a beat up UGA squad.

Yeah... his draft stock goes down. Could cost him some money... all for a 7-4 finish to his career.

I don't necessarily know if returning this year, even with the injury, that it is going to hurt his draft stock. He was looking at either being a 2nd or 3rd rounder at best last year. He proved a lot this year against those critics. Many questions were answered by Murray this year. ACL's are not what they once were.

Even with that said, I would be shocked if AM was not in the NFL for quite some time. Not going to say he is going to be a star, but he is smart enough to be in the league for a long time. I could name about 10 teams now that he would be better than the starter. Ask AJ who is better, Murray or Dalton?

Buc, speaking of O-line. We have had many conversations about this group. I still think they have performed pretty good the last 2 years. Much better than they will ever get credit for. I think many see our O-line the same way the national media wanted to label AM. Constant, he can't win the big game. All on Murray. Forget the unbelievable games he had, it was always his fault. He took a lot of blame he shouldn't have. For him not to be in New York is a shame to me. For our o-line to be considered a weakness after all the yards and points this year is also not accurate to me. Did anyone see what LSU's d-line did to A&M?

Sorry to be so long winded, got one more gripe. Their is a kid named David Sharpe. Seems to be a very good OT. If what I am reading is true about his recruitment, shame on our coaching staff. Will leave it at that.

AllDawgs5, you know me, I will always look close at where the offensive game starts. You being a running back in college, understand that, probably better than most. See you and sadlerdawg lock horns sometimes, just makes me feel better about who is on this board. Both of you played, and if I had been around, would have lined up with both of you.

Do I think that Will Friend has done a good or bad job. Cannot say that I think he should leave. While I have read in other places he should leave, that might be the concensus, I am not on board with that. richt can leave, grantham can leave, would love to keep Will Friend and Chris Wilson. Some will say, one or the other. I don't buy into that philosophy. We do have three or four or so coaches that I would like to see remain in Athens.

Will Friend is a coach, not unlike many coaches in college football that has shown some promise. If he were to leave, somewhere down the tracks, we would wonder why.

On this board and others I read where some say that our offensive line is good one game and seems to slip the next game. I am one of those, but having coached the offensive line, I understand that facing the next team can be 180 degrees opposite of what we think we will see.

Both of us know that size is good. That is not what makes the offensive line work. The feet, hands and hips mean so much. Personally think that too much emphasis is put on strength. I could say so much about what I just said, but does not have to be said, you understand.

I really appreciate your posts. As has been said multiple times, might not agree, but sure as heck understand. Just tightens the bond.

Have to say this, there are some folks that are beginning to post on this board that really strengthen what the originator wanted.

Like this board more now than in previous years. Lots of strong personalities involved in discussing Georgia football without reservation. Strong votes to many that will remain nameless, except for Wartdawg.
