carolina dawg, the 2014 schedule will have SS all over the media telling everyone that will listen how UGA is given special privileges. Love it when he breaks out the crying towel. Check South Carolina's schedule for 2014, SS has to love that lineup.

Don't remember when I said it, but I did, tired of hearing how UGA plays a soft West schedule. SC has one this year. No Bama, LSU, Auburn, TAM.

Go Dawgs! GATA!

Edit: Sorry - my comments are about the 3013 schedule

TN Dawg, have heard it more than once that SS uses that same BS on the recruiting trail. He has been licking his wounds since Jeremy Foley refused to let him return to Florida.

Stevie boy has this thing about carrying grudges. He, like Saban thought there were no limits when it came to coaching at "all levels". Wrong.

SS hates the fact that he has had success against UGA for three years and can't seem to find his way back to Atlanta. SS wants to beat UGA worse than UF.

Reason . . . . don't know, really don't care, just want to put an end to SS in Athens. We beat South Carolina this season, the drop in recruiting talent for SS will be huge.

Going to be an interesting year. College football, how ya gonna beat it . . . . can't. :)

Buc,
Here is one reason many believe SS hates UGA.

In 1966 the University of Florida had never won an SEC championship. Their goal that year was to win that elusive title and go undefeated for the first time in school history. The reason for all this optimism was senior quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Steven Orr Spurrier. When the Gators arrived in Jacksonville to face Georgia, they were 8-0 and ranked No. 7 in the country. The Bulldogs had only one loss, a 7-6 defeat at the hands of Miami, and were not ranked in the top 10. To cut to the chase, Georgia hounded Spurrier all day long with a seven man rush, forcing him to throw both his third and fourth interceptions of the season. The second one was a pic-six by the Dawgs Lynn Hughes. Meanwhile, Georgia's ground game ate up the clock and the Gator defense, forcing the battered Spurrier to spend much of the fourth quarter as a weary spectator on the sideline. Bulldog quarterback Kirby Moore scored with one second left on the clock to make the final score 27-10. Florida finished the season 9-2 , while Georgia shared the SEC title with Alabama with a 10-1 record. The loss to Georgia was the worst defeat of Spurrier's career, putting an everlasting damper on his Heisman Trophy winning season. Once when asked what he remembered most about his senior season, he simply replied "the loss to Georgia". The above recount of the 1966 UGA-UF game is the reason Spurrier has spent much of his college coaching career trying to pay Georgia back for pretty much wrecking his college playing career. Makes one wonder if that will be on his mind Saturday in Columbia...Just sayin'.

TN Dawg, really good find. Had forgotten the details that you provided with your post. "Good stuff" . . . .

SS did not amount to anything when he tried "playing" or "coaching" professional football. He had a knack and a system that caught many or most coaches in the SEC flat footed. Produced winning football, and I might add, with quarterbacks that did not equal the talent of Georgia quarterbacks.

Myer came along and did the slight of hand, much like SS. Used to be that SS was the one I disliked the most, changed when Urban rode up. Do not like either, but Urban really ticks me off more than SS. Urban Meyer is "sneaky" and that is not allowed in "Southern Circles".

I remember listening to the Georgia/Miami game on the radio, matter of fact, had a small wager on that game, don't have to say who my bet was placed on.

Moving around on this subject, think that Saban has that same "nasty" feeling toward A&M going into this season. Guarantee, Saban said after winning the National Championship that celebrating would last a short time. Probably ended that night for Nick, he has his focus on the game in Texas.

Spurrious licks his wounds every single year . . . what never ceases to amaze me is WHY would you want to do it in public, where you show your cowardice to everyone on earth?! He has a track record of preparing to play ONE BIG GAME each year, and dropping the ball in a game they should win each year. Last year the big game was us, the game they should have easily won was Florida. Year before that, we were their big game and then they lost to Abuurn - at HOME. Instead of complaining about how "unfair" the schedule is, Spurrious needs to strap on a pair and just win. That's what gets respect and championships - not being a whiney-butt cry baby.

Truth!

Might want to check this out if you have not seen the video. Listening closely, feel that some secrets were revealed without saying as much.
