thriller, I tend to agree with what Garrison Smith said. Think there is a lot of "coach speak" prior to the game. Not saying the pups aren't hurt, just believe we will see close to a full house. Time for coaches and some players to sound like VD used to do before every game.

Jordan Jenkins has to be in "kick butt" mode right now. Was paid a high compliment by Jarvis Jones . . . . Jones said that Jordan Jenkins will be better than himself. Know that Jones has a big heart and a team player, but he does not fabricate.

Was it not you that said Marshall was going to have a great year, short time back on this board? Think so. Can only agree. :)

Getting close thriller . . . . :woohoo:

Buc, you're right - I did say that we are going to watch - in my humble opinion - a HUGE break out this season by Keith Marshall. My reasoning goes back to last year. I DVRed almost every game and went back and checked out some of his carries.

Buc, that guy was sometimes ONE BLOCK away from going 75-80 yards. He was, again - in my HUMBLE opinion - more victimized by missed blocks than anyone I can remember in ages. It happened against Nebraska, bad. The kid would just need ONE GUY to STUMBLE into a defender, but he just couldn't buy a break. I think that was a fluke. I think this year, he is going to SHOCK a lot of people with his moves and his speed. He also has excellent pass catching ability. That catch against the Huskers was jaw dropping, after looking back at it - a back shoulder NIGHTMARE. Most receivers seem to give up on those, but he looked it in and made it look easy. I'm telling you - Reggie Bush, but with POP in his pads!!!

I hope to be watching the game on the side of our camper in a state park . . . it's getting here FAST!

thriller, I am on board with every comment you made. Only difference or maybe I should say the difference I saw between Marshall and Gurley was Gurley had more lean at contact (pad level). Marshall at 220 this season . . . . stick of dynamite with a very, very quick fuse. Catch was as you say against Nebraska, very special.

Say what I have said a few times and others have also . . . . this offense could be a nightmare to prepare for.

Buc, almost too many weapons.....nice problem to have. You know they are going to spread the ball around for two reasons.....obviously to keep opposing D off balance and also to keep the players happy. Don't want any decension among the players about ball distribution....that can be a nightmare. There won't be any with this group....

Buc, wlayton,

Do you guys realize (I know you do - just sayin' it for dramatic effect) - we have a FULLBACK who can handle the ball AND smack people around on the defensive front 7? As wlayton said - almost TOO MANY weapons. I wanna see Quayvon run over someone. B)
