Injuries in the Secondary

I’ve been reading and listening to a lot chatter concerning the defensive backfield.

I’m taking that CMR is concerned. Let’s face it. These injuries are coming from an area that we really didn’t need them to happen. With JHC sitting on the bench as well, what are your predictions on how CTG will prepare for Clemson?

I’ve been out of the loop with the depth and I’m at a loss on what the game plan will be on 8/31. I’m always a one-game-at-a-time guy, but we have the chickens the very next weekend. Will they hold back some of these guys who are banged up to heal and play the first SEC opponent?

Hopefully you guys can fill in some gaps I have on this. Maybe I’m looking for something positive to hear for once.

Injuries are a concern and looks like some young pups will get some playing time. Matthews said he will be ready and start. Don't think CTG can hold anything or anyone back. Boyd is a very good QB and if he gets time he can light it up. This first game has to be THE statement game for our D. We still will not get the respect we deserve from the talking heads (ESPN) but we will at least get them to talk about us more.

As much as I hate to admit it, our secondary will keep us on the edge of our seats the entire game. We just have to manage it and escape with the W. Not looking for a pretty W, just a W. ESPN talking heads can say whatever they like but they can't argue with wins in the SEC.

Yes D will be a concern. Hopefully they will be able to slow Clemson down an our O will light up their D. Lot of talk that young pups saw playing time last year and that was good. Lot of talk about D being less than last year. To my recollection D, at times last year, did not look good. Personally would rather have solid unit top to bottom than unit with a couple superstars.

And as far as not getting love from 4-letter network ...... who gives a crap??!! Anybody remember Sugar Bowl in 2008? Boise State game in 2005 & SEC Championship win over #3 LSU. Let's play football and let our results do our talking. 11 days and counting.

Go Dawgs! GATA!
