WoodstockDawg, think that is what I was trying to say about the change(s) I see in Mark Richt. That statement has the smell of something that Steve Spurrier would say. This game is "huge" and both sides are preparing their teams for a war.

All of the time spent recruiting, practicing, playing, teaching, comes down to 60 minutes in Columbia. One thing all of us can bet on . . . in the meeting rooms this week, the coaches are not using the same language that is used in the media pressers. Coaches on both sides of the ball WANT this game. Same of course applies to South Carolina, this one game means more to them than any game they have played EVER.

Mike Bobo talking about 5 receiver sets openly this week, along with his quarterback. Coaches on both sides are not spending much time at home, this game is different. Both sides looking for that one little thing or formation that might give them an edge. This is where highly paid coaches are expected to earn their money. No, that is not a shot, that is the TRUTH. Butterflies arrived early this week.

Buc, I agree with you. You and I both know that the changes we've seen in CMR started right after that little "pow wow" with McGarity, and as far as I'm concerned, it shows that McGarity is doing his job.

I have another theory about that change though. I believe CMR is wanting a championship to GO OUT ON. I think his days at UGA are numbered, and not because of pressure, or hot seats, or fan anger, or anything of the sort, but because he wants to do something else. Like most people, he wants to go out on a success, and this year represents one of his best opportunities yet.

Imo, they need to put in great preparation but at the same time not deviate from their "routine" with the players. For me, there's a fine line between getting the players ready and excited but not too jacked up or put too much "huge game" pressure on them to the point of making mistakes.

Get them ready, focused on the execution of the game plan and excited.....but keep everything in their normal routine. Keep their heads on their shoulders.

Execution with the least mistakes wins this game.

I'm with you wLayton,if you have to do anything extra to get pumped up for this game then we have'nt been practicing the right things from the start. I agree that it is an important game,but,the incentive to win it has been in place for a solid year and there is no sense in starting now to fret about it. I think UGA is up to it and just needs to play hard and smart. GO DAWGS!!!!!!GATA
