Yes he has just as much talent, and his D won quite a few games over the last 2 seasons for us when we had a "conservative" run the TB up the middle type O. Over 80+ plays a game will tire any D out. Not making excuses but CTG gets a pass on past performance from me anyhoo.......

ogredawg, well said. The past does mean something. I am still excited about the future. Many on this board were in agreement before the season started, saying if it turns out good or real good, recruiting will be enhanced. Grantham is a short timer at this point, but fast becoming recognized nationwide. Really opens up the recruiting for UGA.
Grantham is building his base, just have to get these young pups to watch their p's and q's. Several players leaving after this season, need to continue to play many to be ready for 2013.
Think that Tennessee scored 14 points in the entire second half, could be wrong, not too bad when discussing a credible defense and I believe we have just that.

I am a believer in CTG, I still think we are still adjusting to getting everyone back on D. Plus they had to play a lot of plays on Saturday.
Edit: In addition, which I had failed to see, if you put the offensive totals, without Turnover help, for UT, they only score 24, maybe 31 points.

By no means am I suggesting that he is taking my advice, but it appears that either somebody has pointed out to him, or he's figured out on his own, that these types of plays, when mixed well and balanced, will keep DC's guessing and cover certain weaknesses, such as inexperienced OL.
The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

WoodstockDawg, like the way you think, some call it reasonable. Believe Tennessee has two receivers that could wear anyones colors. No doubt in my mind that Patterson chose Tennessee because of Bray and playing time immediately. Can't blame the young receiver for that.
Depth on both teams will mean a lot this weekend. Crowd will be nuts, and sometimes that can work against you. Players get too hyped up, sometimes causes mistakes.
Was mentioned earlier that coming close can change the way the ball comes out of the quarterbacks hand. Saw more than one errant pass on the Tennessee side. Sacks get a lot of attention, coming close can play with the quarterbacks decision making.
Have noticed that AM is stepping up in the pocket more than ever before. That is called trusting the offensive line, especially when looking at more than one receiver. Couple of times Saturday thought that Tennessee was going to get him from the backside, AM stood in there and got the passes off. Not shuffling those feet as much as he did in previous seasons.
One thing for sure, South Carolina will be coming hard, other side of that coin, so will we.

I don't however apologize for anything I have said in the past. I call 'em like I sees
'em.
When I've said in the past that Bobo had his head in his arse... he had his head in his
arse.
I just pray there's not that one critical game this year when things get tight... and
he decides to reinsert it. I'll get back to you on this one after we face that SC
defense this week. I want to see how Bobo reacts when/if "Gurshall" isn't able to
break off yards in 30-40-70 yard chunks.
God Bless and Go Dawgs
