I would like to hear the more critical voices express their thoughts on him so far this year. I've yet to see the game replay due to a previously mentioned wedding but thought his playcalling in the first quarter was masterful. Granted, he has a ridiculous amount of talent on his side of the Ball.
There has been a lot of criticism of Mike Bobo on this board and just about any blog one wishes to read. Guess it could be that all of the bloggers that were up in arms didn't have a clue, but sometimes we have to go on what we see.
What I see this year from Mike Bobo's offense is different in some aspects than years past. Guess I will agree with your last statement southernlover. Granted, he has a ridiculous amount of talent on his side of the Ball. Maybe that is the clue to our game . . . . talent. Personally have felt that we have had a generous amount of talent prior to the 2012 season.
This is not to say that Mike Bobo is not doing a really good job thus far. Might be that along with talent the old saying of "aging like fine wine" might fit the bill also. Looking forward to the South Carolina game and how Offense/Defense along with Special Teams stack up. Last look I had was UGA #5, USCe #6. Can't get much closer in the ratings than that. If we believe in the ratings.
2012 is a long way from being finished. There will be upsets, then we will have folks look at the scores, turnovers, coaching mistakes, long list of things to hit the internet with. Human nature.

You run up the middle 3 times will not work, but it seems that is all he wants to do. I find it hard to believe that we do not have some safe short pass play that would allow us to pick up a first down at critical times.
Good point. On the other hand, if your receiver drops the ball, the clock stops and you'll probably have to throw it again. Honestly, when it comes to "conservative time killin'" I would probably blow it worse than Bobo. I'd have a tough time calling plays to both KILL the clock and pick up the first down. Maybe some swing passes?
