Vanderbilt vs UGA . . .Unfinished Business

Sure.....the D needs the most improvement. (would expect more out of the offense though, "catch-22" question for me)

would love to see our D pitch a shut out. That would mean we are addressing the slow start syndrome.

21-0 would be sweet and I would not complain one bit. Vandy over the last few years has come into Athens and played well especially on the D side.

I'm with wlayton on this one...definitely be happy with the shutout. I do expect our O will get more than 21 also. I'm realistically thinking mid to high 30's to under 10. Guess we'll see.

EDIT--meaning I think we'll score mid to high 30's and hold them to under 10. Not sure if the way I psoted that made much sense.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

TN Dawg asked:

But let me pose this question to everyone. Would you be happy if we blanked Vandy, and say won by 21?

TN Dawg, for me, what is not to like about looking at the scoreboard and seeing a goose egg for Vanderbilt when the game is over. Also believe in reading between the lines.

Think that Grantham tipped his hand this past week holding Jarvis out for the entire game. Todd Grantham wants Jarvis and the rest of this group to put a hurting on Franklin's team.

Coach speak is one thing, but bruised egos take a while to mend. Last years game will be played over and over in the media this week . . . . Kwame Geathers should be a raging bull (Dawg) between the Hedges, he remembers well the cut blocks that their center in particular used the entire game.

Franklin is recruiting hard in Georgia. Think Grantham wants to send a message to some of the talent still in high school that both he and Franklin are pursuing, we are building something special in Athens. Saban has proven this theory works. Beginning to see a lot of similarities between Saban and Grantham. That in my opinion is a good thing. :)

I'm not so sure shutting out the Commodes is going to happen. Our style so far this year has been to sort of "dance around" with the opponent for the first half of the game and then give them the coup de gras in the second half. This is something we've done in all three games, so I don't see things happening any different this week.

I see where Richt is saying that our focus is on football, not "extra-curricular" activities. I like that, because you and I both know that means exactly the OPPOSITE. There is a grudge there that can't be ignored and won't just go away because we are "thinking about football". I'm glad CTG doesn't hold a grudge against ME . . . just sayin'.

Not so sure if its intentional or not, but the lax 1st and 2nd quarters maybe that way so that the 3rd and 4th quarters the Dawgs are fresher. That might have been possible for the first three games, due to the competition, but probrably not a good tactic to follow from here on out. 21-0 Dawgs would be fine with me. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!GATA

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day
