Vanderbilt vs UGA . . .Unfinished Business

We should win this one comfortably.
I was watching Georgia/FAU online, no Atlanta coverage, while watching Tenn/Fla on the tube.
Florida's depth wore the Vols out in the fourth quarter.
Not only will we wear the 'Dores out, Grantham will have this team jacked.
My big concern is playing Tennessee and South Carolina back to back.
Here's hoping this team can ration the emotional energy needed to sweep these next three games.
I hate to say it but Florida looks like a pretty good team getting better.

Buc,

Saw some quotes from CMR's presser on Sunday about the situation on the O-line. Apparently Lee suffered an ankle sprain during the game (nothing that should keep him out of the line up, I believe) and that's why they moved Gates to guard and gave Beard a shot at left tackle.

The following quote from the AJC (I think) speaks volumes about the job Beard did...CMR usually plays it pretty close to the vest with praise in his pressers, so for him to throw the "actually" at the end of his sentence makes me think Beard turned a few heads on Saturday.

From the AJC:
After Lee’s exit, Georgia shifted starting left tackle Kenarious Gates to Lee’s spot and played sophomore Mark Beard, a junior-college transfer, at left tackle. “I thought Mark did a pretty good job out there,” Richt said. “… I thought it worked out pretty good, actually.”

Wish they could resolve the situation with Houston....we could definitely use him. Getting pretty ridiculous.

Mike after reading your post, went to the UGA site and watched Mark Richt's press conference.

This is the most laid back and relaxed Mark Richt that I have seen in several years. Started thinking about some of the situations that have occurred at UGA over the past 4 or 5 years that have made all of us uncomfortable. Of course a lot of that should be shouldered by Richt, such as WM and things along that line of thinking.

Keep going back to McGarity in my way of trying to pin point the changes that I think I see with Richt. Appears to me that the fire in the belly has returned, if that is the case, UGA will benefit from the newer model of Mark Richt.

Paid close attention to Richt's face in the press conference when asked about Vandy and if we will be prepared. He did not scowl or anything close to that, his facial expression did however change to a serious look and say with certainty that "we are definitely prepared for Vandy" . . . . words comparable to that. Looks like a good one this Saturday, stadium will be rocking . . . :)
