AD5... just saw you asking for names of an HC that would guarantee us a NC.

Not going to get drawn into that trap, because no coach is going to guarantee any team
a national championship.

Why don't you phrase the question as name some OC's that wouldn't continue to run the
ball up the middle when you're averaging about a yard per carry, or some that wouldn't
leave Orson Charles completely out of their game plan and you'll probably get some
names. Even then though asking for guarantees is a trap way of framing the question.
There are no guarantees.

So let me ask a more fair question... who here wouldn't take a chance that you could
find a better OC than Mike Bobo?

anyone would be an improvement over Bobo......and I am willing to take that chance....hell I said a while back hire Mike Gundy as HC and make CTG Asst.HC/DC and pay him the $$$$$....

When we hire a new coach, I want a defensive minded coach, be it Coach Grantham, Kirby or whoever.
The best offensive minded coach in the SEC is Bobby Petrino and he has struggled against defensive gurus.
Great defense, smart offense equals SEC Championships.

Wart, no trap here. Just pointing out that it is much easier to say so, and so will not ever win a NC. Name a solution that is a shoe in. I mean that is the ultimate goal correct, so anything less is a failure.

I am not a Bobo fan myself, although I think this was his best year. I don't think it was horrible. I would like to know what he saw that continued to pound the rock up the gut, but I am not sure what the reads were. I did however see AM doing a lot of checking at the line of scrimmage. Who knows? Playcalling gave us a chance to ice this game, and make the SEC championship a lot different. We didn't make plays. This isn't little league football. You miss easy plays, it will come back to haunt you because they don't happen often. Especially when you are playing the 1st and 6th ranked defenses in the country.

Richt has basically morphed into the post-Herschel era Vince Dooley. Regular seasons just good enough to be able to hang on and go out on his own terms and postseason disappointments.
