What I minded most was in overtime when we intercepted, and all we had to do was score to
win. In that situation... knowing how badly Walsh has been this season, we don't even
attempt to move the ball... we run two plays (first play with our 170lb RB), lose 3 yards
and then send in Walsh to attempt a 42 yarder.

All that beef... and this was the result? So... is it going to take
NFL caliber talent at all 5 spots for us to be able to field a OL you could call
decent??
I think I have said this previously. Friend came at a time when we were coming off of a 6-7 season. A season that promised nothing for the offensive line in the coming year. 0-2 against some pretty good talent from the beginning. Folks on this board and others were all in the same mind set. Offensive line was going to be our major problem for 2011.
Cordy moves from guard to tackle and we have Ben at center. Justin had been tossed around, back and forth like a 340 pound rag doll. Cordy will play guard in the NFL, not a NFL caliber left tackle. If Justin sticks in the NFL, he will also be a guard. Ben has the body to play center, he is probably a 4th round draft choice.
So I see the question was whether we need NFL caliber talent at all of the offensive spots. The answer to that question from where I sit . . . . YES. Why? Because we have an offensive coordinator that is secure in his job because someone above him is clearing space for him. Most of us are creatures of habit, Bobo and Richt have some dumb a-- habits. Habits that have all of us here explaining how the team could improve. Richt said it and I guess some believe it . . . we have never competed in the arena, so what do we know. I have watched this team longer than Richt has been on the face of Earth. I am not impressed with his leadership. Believe him to be in the "wrong calling". That is not ugly, I am a God fearing man, and I believe Richt would be a GREAT HEAD COACH IN A FIELD NOT CONNECTED TO UGA FOOTBALL. Sorry about shouting, I have been around too long and recognize potential. Richt will probably win 10 football games next season, he probably won't make it to a top tier bowl.
Just my opinion. . . . .

I guess it's kinda hard for me to understand how you agree with one and not the other. Both are playing not to lose, and both are telling your offensive players "I have no faith that you can win this game, so I'm going to puss out and hope for the best".
Well, that's what happens. You lose. More often than not, playing not to lose causes you to lose. No killer instinct or desire to try to win games from the coaching staff will doom us to the 2nd tier of the SEC for years to come.
