Agree but Bobo knows Thomas is 5' 7" 163 lbs. Why would you try to run it up the middle with him when your bigger backs couldn't do it?

Don't forget that we apparently don't have FB on the roster, and running a toss sweep is
so 1985.

Man I am so glad you said that. Exactly what I was going for. Heck, I don't even recall us getting into a traditional running formation for most of the game. It seemed to me it was shotgun all day.

I just think if a time or two. We sit him out a series. Might calm him down.

Might also calm him down if he had an O-line in front of him and some semblance of
a running game. Of course though the fault there lies with player execution, and we
all know coaching has no effect on player execution.

The other side of that coin averagedawg in my mind is simply this. If we are going to sit a player down for "bone headed" mistakes, what the hell happens to those that are above them that have been incredibly bad at "decision" making for a long period of time. Way before AM won the job on the practice field. All of those "bone headed" mistakes were not made by Mike Bobo, go back through the threads on this board and check the names of those that also attributed "bone head" to Mark Richt.

I get your point, that it might help AM. Wonder if that same treatment were applied to the coaching staff, would it benefit Georgia football? I don't think it would hurt.

AM can't read a cover 2, don't even go there.

We've had some success when we run out of the I and just call plays instead of rocking
back on our heels while in shotgun as we stand around until 5 seconds are left on the
play clock waiting for the SG draw call to come in from the sideline. Of course though... as soon as we have any of that success from the I, we instantly go back to the shotgun for the next 12 plays.

I joked earlier in the year that if we ever ran a quick trap to the full back, our opponents would fall over dead with shock. We finally did it twice in the Tech game
and that's exactly what happened. So of course we shelved that play and went back
with the shotgun draw to the TB for the remainder of the season.

Of course though... that's just me focusing on play calling too much (and formation,
and personnel, and game plan).

(Still waiting on the list of folk who support Bobo as OC.)

Have been traveling over the past few days and trying to catch up. Also have been so aggravated, pissed, mad, deflated, annoyed, disillusioned, and (you pick the next emotion) that I did not want to post. I have somewhat settled down. I don't have much to say other than what has already been written. But I would like to express my opinions/concerns.

In general:
1. I have not doubt that everyone on this board loves our university. We have very spirited debates here. Our passions run deep and our emotions sometimes higher. But one thing is for sure, everyone wants UGA to be successful. Success is the subjective part. Is it a National Championship? Is it a SEC Championship? Is it a 10 win season? What is it beating UF, TN, GT, SC or another team each year? Everyone has a different reason. That is for you to decide and state your case here.
2. I confess I want to win as much as the next guy, however, I am just a fan. I do not get to determine the outcome of each game with physical performance. I can only yell encouragement to our players. I will NEVER boo or berate a player and I will NEVER yell insults at a coach. I will talk in what I think is an intelligent manner of how I feel coaches are performing or underperforming.
3. I have been on CMR's side for some time. I could go on about how I think he is good for UGA and rehash what has already been said. What I am growing weary of is our certain lack of "getting over the hump". As I mentioned earlier, I like to win. I though we were moving in the right direction. The proof will be in performance. I have not been a fan of CMB. Our offense has not improved over the last few seasons and I am not sure that it will. We have scored points, but against less than average defenses. I have posted before that when other programs are looking for a HC you don't hear the name Mike Bobo mentioned. Can anyone guess why?

Now for football:
1. What a disappointment. I can not fault our team. They played with intensity and courage. What I can find fault with is a coaching staff that put them in a position to lose. When you win 10 games in your season and make it to a bowl game. the odds are that you are going to play a team that is good. And guess what...their coaches are probably pretty good too. We are too limited in our offensive play calling.
2. What happened to "Finish the Drill"? Not from the players side but from the coaching side? When you have a lead with less than 3 minutes remaining and can not run out the clock, you DESERVE to lose. Period! We did not play to win. We played not to lose. But guess what, that does not work against a good team.
3. Last point about setting ourselves up for failure. I really don't have a problem with running out the clock at end of game, but I might have tried one play to advance the ball. If it wasn't there throw the ball into the stands. Oh yeah, that goes back to our limited play calling. We must not have a play for that. So we get a turnover in OT and forget to move the ball for our 50/50 FG kicker. I am not mad at Walsh. I am disappointed that our coaches put him in that position.

Bottom line fellas. We deserved to lose. MSU players did not want to win more than UGA. But maybe their coaches did.
Thanks for letting me ramble on and rant!

Does anyone actually think that CMR does not have a hand in the Offensive game plan......he called a lot of the plays this year or over ruled Bobo on quite a few I am sure......who had the final call on the take a knee on 2nd down and 3rd down FG try in OT.....you can bet your ass it was not Bobo......wait until next year........yeah right.....been doing that for 4 years now......
