Win or Lose - Our Head Coach and OC Suck.

Hearing what Gruden has said and done with QB's in the past, I am not sure if AM would have been back ont he field. Yeah, he QB camp show is great, but ask the ones that played for him. I can remember seeing some absolute tougue lashings. I am willing to bet AM would have probably been done.

Buc, I agree with you and Gruden on AM. Excellent QB - one of the better ones in the nation . . . one game does not fill out his entire resume.

I think Gruden would have slapped him on the back during the game and told him he thinks he sees a weakness in the corners sitting on those short routes, and then chewed his butt in the film room the next day - but I'm not a head coach, so I have no idea.

Wart, I didn't get a copy of the gameplan, I am guessing you did to determine OC was left out of it. I don't know, maybe just maybe, MSU realized he is probably our most dangerous WR. Maybe that was why they were hugging the hashes with both safeties. I wish they would have gotten the ball to OC, but I can't say that plays weren't designed to get the ball to him. Don't know, like I said I didn't get my copy of the game plan.

Not saying AM is terrible or any of that. He made a boneheaded play. End of story. Plays like that can cost your team a game. If a safety totally botches a coverage it can have the same effect. Those are called the difference makers. They are crucial when 2 good football teams are playing. They happen, I believe and hope he will learn from it, but I can't blame a coach for not turning him free when all you need is a FG.

To not using the other kicker, I don't know. I am not there to watch him kick in practice.

Orson Charles is the way you beat the cover 2. You know that and so do I. I am a Tampa Bay fan and have seen a lot of cover 2 in my time. I followed Gruden and Kiffin through all the years they coached there.

That leads me to this . . . . what does Mark Richt or Mike Bobo know about attacking the cover 2. Did not get the ball to Orson Charles, guess it is simple enough to figure out what went wrong other than the "bone headed" play of AM. You have "bone headed" coaches, you end up with "bone headed" plays and players. Not the players fault, they leave high school to learn in the college ranks, however some players get lucky and sign on with competent coaches.
