No sense in posting until he is gone. There are so many unrealistic expectations for an offense. Never a bad word about bama's offense. Oh yeah, and a quarter of their points are scored by their defense or ST. Unfair standards.

Everything that has ever went wrong is totally CMR's fault.

GO DAWGS, finish the year strong.

AD5......I'm waiting until the season plays out as well as you. Do want Bobo gone but if CMR can turn things around, all the better (new OC). I have commented to you before that "I get it" (your reasoning) and can see your thoughts and opinions for what you mean them for and nothing more. I like your objectivity. Don't give up posting, I for one enjoy your posts and reasoning....your an asset to the forum (and now since myself and one other are willing to see how things play out, and get a new OC, you're leaving us on an island....lol).

I'll stand on the island with you wlayton. I have alway enjoyed and agreed more times than not with your post.

For there to be a good blog, there needs be debating, or it would be realy boring on hear.

yardage. If I'm going to risk a QB/RB exchange and a possible tackle, I'm going to go ahead and
run it up the gut 3 times. That was your chance to pick up the 1st down and run the clock out
never giving the ball back to them. Running wide wasn't going to do it, and we were not going to
be able to use enough time to run out the clock anyway. It was RS in the game out of necessity,
and RS is not going to do much for you running side to side. I would not have RS running side to
side. That pretty much guaranteed you were going to give Vandy one last shot with the ball in
their hands.

I agree you never imagine you are going to have a punt blocked, but our special teams have been
less than stellar all year. I'm already risking a QB/RB exchange and tackle where we can cough it
up anyway, so I'm going to run 3 times up the gut. If I pick up just one first down, then I kneel
on the ball and don't turn the game over to my special teams or defense. Running RS side to side
was once again playing not to lose instead of seizing victory when the ball is in your hands. On
3rd down with 8-9 in the box we ran straight up the gut and picked up 5 yards. Too bad it was
3rd and 14 because of plays 1 and 2 instead of 3rd and 3.

That one point may have been picky if you look at it as an isolated incident, but it isn't.
He's always playing it safe, and not going for the throat. Me.. however you slice it Richt played
in such a manner that was going to inevitably put the ball back in their hands. I would have played to not put the ball back in their hands. Once again.. as an isolated incident, no big deal... but it's not really an isolated incident.

How are we sure it was Richt calling those plays. Maybe it was Bobo. We still don't know who's calling the shots on the offensive side. Seems our coaching staff forgets we have a big boy at FB too that could take it up the gut for three to four yards. I agree that the sweeps from the shotgun were asinine when you need to kill the clock. One first down and the game is over without drama. If you want to kill the clock then kill it with a power running game(didn't that use to be the Georgia way)

A few quick points from the game as I saw it in person. Actually good vantage point having 50 yd line seats about 20 rows up.

Shawn Williams was a man possessed Saturday night. Kid was jumping around, pumped and hitting his own guys hard during light contact drills in warmups. Kid was full of fire! Being able to hear some things from the sidelines he was "hoopin' and hollerin" alot after every play. His first 15 yarder was a hustle play where he hit the receiver almost right after the pass was deflected. Second was a bonehead play, defending his teammate in a little scuffle. Think Franklin was perturbed with some of his jumping around and woohooing in addition to the penalties. no reason to go after the kid afterwards though. That would have been like someone from UGA going after Fairley last year for his cheap shots.

Kwame Geathers punched the center for a cheap cut block from behind. Play was going out of bounds, he's three yards behind the runner and the center dives at his knees from behind. Those things can end careers and I would have punched him too. TV did not really show the center launching himself into his knees very well.

The D had three interceptions and drove their kids back pretty good most of the night. Vandy had success spreading the field and taking advantage of our over aggressiveness. On two of Vandy's longest runs we had defenders take each other out getting to the runner to make the tackle. Abry Jones had three batted balls. Jarvis Jones is a man amongst boys. Ray Drew will be the real deal if not already. He should see the field more often regardless of CW returning.

Franklin came off the sidelines at the games end on a mission. He is right in he was calculated and it appeared he had intentions from the get go to confront SW. Appeared to be searching him out and went straight towards him once he saw him, jaws flapping and laminated chart waving. Enter CTG and what everyone else saw on National TV.

Glad for the win, but it was ugly. Like YD1 says ugly or not it is a win. Damn happy for the win, but we better get our junk together for this back stretch. Gators are wounded, but not going to lay down. Neither will Auburn.

ML is gone for the season in Cockyland and it appears the sun is shining on this dawgs derriere this year. SC loses at least two more without him, paving our way to ATL if we can put some games together where all three phases are solid.

Oh...almost forgot...

You can almost cut the tension on this site with a knife at times. No one can ever blame this forum for lacking passion.

Go DAWGS! Two weeks away from Jax and I'm already getting goose bumps thinking about this one.

WD......now I remember, YOU'RE the other "one" that's left on our island wanting to wait and see how the season plays out. In a perfect world, CMR wins out, stays HC, gets a new OC, keep all defensive personel, continued success in recruiting and get this thing turned around. I've hollered for CMR to be replaced as well but the transition could be painful as well.

Now if CMR loses in 2 weeks, I've had enough.;)

bump! I'm there too. Said in a thread a week or so ago that I would like to see CMR stay, bobo go and all these other coaches on staff get their chance to demonstrate success in the Red and Black. Again I would hate to see CTG, Garner, Lakatos, WF and Coach O coaching for someone else without really getting a shot to show us what they can do. If CMR goes, they all go.

The transition will be rough, but if he cannot get it done and continues to lose to the Gators, I'm paddling to island of Fire Richt.
