Yep, should have gotten out of the way and let the two have at it. Settle it once and for all. Now the media will have fun with this one forever. NFL just gets richer, through fines and more publicity.

Buc, sure I jumped players on the sideline, but I can guarantee as a fan watching the game you would have never known it. I didn't coach to be seen or to embarass kids. I coached because I love the game, and I love competition. At half, I might make my point a little better known. Behind closed doors. I didn't have to go crazy on the sidelines for my players to get the point. And if they didn't, the could sit down for a while until they got the point.

I have said many times, I am undecided about what I want to happen. I am still going to let the year play out. Have said many times, Richt has done enough to lose his job, and has also done enough to keep it imo. I have seen some improvements, but I haven't been totally wowed by anything to this point. I see us getting a little better, but I want and must see more. We are 5-2. That's not bad when you start 0-2. Doesn't matter who you have played. If you have ever coached, it is extremely hard to turn around a horrible start. Doesn't matter who you are playing. Especially when the critics are everywhere calling for your head to be served on a silver platter.

My point is that every week, we knit pick everything Richt does. I saw post blaming the offense. We scored 33 pts, missed 2 FG's, and 2 of our best playmakers were on the sideline. One for most of the game, and the other for all of the game. How would bama have done without Richardson, and Maze? No, IC and MM are not as good right now as those 2, but they are just as important to our team as those 2 are to bama.

The criticism is way to biased. Believe myself and wlayton were the only ones who pointed out the D struggled. How are we the only ones that see that? That was the problem Sat night. We aren't the only ones that see it. I know that. Everyone would rather just call out Richt and bobo. I dont expect them to be as lights out as bama, but I would expect them to be just as good as usc on defense who gave up 4 yds rushing. With that being said, I still like CTG a lot.

No one is questioning things that are keeping the ship from floating. Everyone is only questioning one thing. Let's just be honest. This site is becoming very similar to the Fire CMR sites.

yeah we scored 33 points big deal......we attempted 6 field goals.....that is an offense that cannot finsih the job......against sub par SEC teams.....if people are just happy with scoring points and not how the offense plays it will come back to haunt this team.....this offense has failed to play a complete game with the exception of CC a FCS school....

Its very interesting to me, how the cool thing seems to be to talk about firing Richt...

I totally agree that things need to change...Do we need a new head coach yet? Not sure, still five games to go. Do we need a new OC? YES, NOW!!!

Does Granthem need to go? NO! Are there better ways to handle what happened on Saturday night? YES. Did Franklin handle it right? NO... Should he apologize? YES... He confronted our player, not the other way around. The SEC should step in on what Franklin did. If anyone starts yelling at my kid about anything, outside of his coaches, than I would be in that persons face as well.

We are 5-2... Let's enjoy that a little, if anything this close game is good for the defense and offense. The offense had to score and did, the defense now realizes they better get ready for the rest of the season. Could and should be a great wake up call. Fortunately we did not have to lose to learn this valuable lesson. This should put us that more on edge to go play UF.

Things have been, up until Vandy, getting a little better each week. Are they perfect no... Will they be better against UF, we will see.

Most, not all, say they want CMR to right the ship. I know I do. I want Bobo gone. I like CTG, and think he will do a fine job, and only make our TEAM better because he is there, but this past Saturday it was his D that gave up 350 yards of total offense. We praised him during other games, and still said a lot of bad things about CMR... Lets call a duck a duck. No offense to "Duck". His defense was not ready for a different QB to come in this week and Rodgers made us look bad! Now he gets the opportunity to teach, and get better, and prepare for UF.

To me the jury is out, I agree with AD5 and others that if we lose to UF, the Coach search should begin immediately.

UPDATE: I guess I was typing at the same time as AD5 since we have some similar thoughts....

Bobo should have be gone after the UCF game last year.....CMR held on to WM far too long and has done the same for Bobo.....

So what if CTG cussed at Franklin......did he throw a punch or tackle any one.....no all he did was cuss and yell after an emotional game when his D did not play up to his expectations....wish we could see at least half of that type of emotion from CMR

Seriously, AD5? You're not seriously trying to convince us that you're undecided about what you want to happen coaching wise? It seems pretty obvious to me that you support Richt 100%, and there is nothing wrong with that. Whenever somebody slights Richt, you are quick to take up for him. Again, nothing wrong with that, but maybe I'm reading you wrong, but it doesn't seem to me you want Richt gone at all.
Anyway, what I find amusing about one of your posts is that you stated you and wlayton were the only ones to point out the D struggled. We have witnessed YEARS of offensive coaching blunders and buffoonery, and you rake some of us over the coals as bashing them for pointing this out week after week, yet CTG has one game where the D struggles, and it's ok to be pointed out? Not sure I get the logic there.
