CTG.....let's start a good thread

I guarantee you Richt and Adams have discussed this incident.
I hope like hell Grantham is not made a scapegoat.

I'm angier at CMR's apology tour than I am CTG. CMR sounds like Obama going to every nation in the world and apologizing. Here is where I stand.

1. Why are we even stirring the pot on CTG????? Have you not seen some of the antics by coaches all over the nation??? It's football, not swim meets. All of us have been blasting Richt for years for being too soft...along comes Clint Eastwood, and we are upset?? Vandy's coach started it, a player was called out and CTG finished. Let's move on.

2. CMR says he needs to hear both sides?????????????????What??? There is only ONE side when you are a HC: The side of the truth your team tells you-whether its a lie or not. You DEFEND your players. Period.

I don't care if CTG does this again. As long as he doesn't start it.

This is football! There is cussing on every play. There are people calling each others mom's out; the N word is thrown around to get under your opponents skin; players are told to go f**k themselves.

averagedawg, this is how I feel. Richt is past coaching, truly believe it is all about the money. Do not like what I see from him in his press conferences. He has sided up with the "other side". Hard to move away from a special way of living. UGA not only needs a Head Coach, it is imperative that we find one.

Why do I say that? Look back over the posts for the last couple of years, and the folks that posted. Many, many suggestions for a replacement have been posted on this board. Some say "if" others say "this one".

Richt is not a LEADER. Some follow, others lead. Richt had his time, now it is time for him to move along. Martinez and Bobo, that is what Richt had to offer. If anyone agrees, take a second look at the decline. Please explain to me or others what happened?

I was doing a lot of poking around this AM. I started reading things saying Franklin was verbally attacking S.Williams. Thats when Grantham saw him and let him have it. Im perfectly fine with what Grantham did in this case. Sticking up for his players...H*LL YES! Wish other coaches would find that fire. And if anyone thinks Erk wouldnt have been caught cussing all over the field in this day and age with all the camera angles there are now you have lost your mind. He was probably caught in his time before.

Am I missing something. I watched the post game presser. I heard Richt say he had heard frm a couple different people about what happened. He said it shouldn't have happened and pointed out that sometimes things happen in the heat of the moment when anger gets high. Never heard him say anything bad about CTG. All this over analyzing. Why don't we just wait to see what happens before we are being so critical. I think Richt handled it fine. These are not 10 year olds. Who is right or wrong doesn't matter. It shouldn't have happened. That's the sportmanship we want all little dawgs watching to see.
