Yeah, I can only imagine......uh, I was thinking maybe a phone call this week may have been a better idea??

We have all at one time or another used that method to get a message across to someone.....they may not have liked it but nobody else witnessed it either.

Shouldn't CTG be held responsible for his actions??

(want to keep stirring this a bit)

Yes. He should be given a raise as the only person whose actions indicate he gives a damn.

with ya 100% KD......fire CMR promote CTG to HC and bring in an OC who gives a damn.....

Coming from a marketing/advertising background, not real hard to figure this one out.

Franklin and helicopters, one school to the next. Franklin finger pointing, which if close enough can result in a broken digit. Franklin at his post game press conference sticking his chest out and saying we are not going to take this from anyone. Kept kissing Richt's behind, but definitely showboating for all too see. He watched Chizik pull this off, whether college or pro, all are a bunch of copycats. Franklin playing to the press.

Richt apologizing, reminds me of someone in a high office in Washington, D.C. United States has been ugly to everyone in the world . . . blah, blah, blah. Some of you folks want that kind of thing, you will probably get it until the light goes on. Grantham leaves, the backbone of UGA football is gone. Saw the same thing happen with Erk under the VD administration. This is almost an instant replay.

Chop blocks ruin lives. As long as it is the other guy, fine by me . . . . right. Kwame, wish you had landed a couple more, make them count. Fight fire with fire.

Chop blocks are dirty, but they are part of the game. I am guessing CTG was pissed because he defense gave up over 200 yards rushing to a team that had a combined 49 yds rushing against bama and usc. D struggled badly tonight. We won and I have confidence CTG will get it corrected. He should not and will not be fired. Do you think Richt wanted to apologize? I personally think Richt likes CTG.

AllDawgs5, I thought that Richt and Grantham were moving in the same direction. Just feel that some decisions need to be made about the direction of our program.

I recall the Chicago Bears and the situation that they had with Ditka as head coach and Buddy Ryan as Defensive Coordinator. Who would have thought that the two of them (total hardheads) would come away with a Super Bowl winning team. I think that some of that same mixture is going on now between Richt and Grantham. While they might like each other, they are totally different in their coaching philosophies.

If we take all of the off season press clippings one would have thought that Grantham was the head coach. Many galleys of type were proof read and pasted about Grantham and what might be. Supposedly the offense was in good shape and would score lots of points in 2011. Scoring points or not permitting points to be scored is not relative when you try to paint a picture in the middle of the season. Everyone now finds themselves in the real world of college football, playing teams that are not lesser, many are better, many on the same footing.

The amount of points don't always tell the game or season story. For the most part, with as much parity as there seems to be these days in college football, it does come down to W's and L's. The other side of that coin is Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Boise State, Wisconsin, and others continue to make folks remember who they are and why they are who they are.

Many don't like to hear Saban mentioned, all he does is win. Lots of folks don't like to hear Miles mentioned, some claim he is a bonehead, all he does is win. Chizik is beginning to stir the pot also, will he be another to pass UGA, with probably a third of his team coming from Georgia.

If I were Grantham, would be po'd also. However, if we are even coming close to suggesting that our defense is close to Saban's, you be the judge. Know what I think and see.

Question for anyone on this board. Can we score on Alabama or LSU? If so, think that we can score the number of points that many like to say we are scoring up to this point, meaning 30 or so.

McGarity has it right. Keep mouths closed and lets take a good, long, hard look at the end of the year. That is when many sound decisions can be made, and should be made.

What makes college football so great is people like all of us on this board can say what we want, when we want to. Could not do that a few short years back. Once upon a time coaches could coast and not worry about their jobs. Not anymore. Media is all over everything, from ping pong to football. I like differences of opinion, not garbage talk. That is why many are on this board.
