As you know, I'm always a little nervous about freshman mistakes.....I doubt he would take over that responsibilty. I mainly feel he will be getting a lot of playing time and the D sets would have to be called from the sideline or someone else. That's not an easy one but who knows, maybe he's the exception.

DO know he is VERY talented.

No doubt we will see Drew on the field. I think he will sub for C. Washington the most since Robinson is the defensive QB. We have a lot of talent at LB. That's a good problem to have.

That to me says R.Drew is ready to be a leader.

Guess that is one of the reasons that I asked the play calling question wlayton. As you mentioned in another post about the DB's, takes time usually. That does not rule out that Drew has the capacity or the drive to "catch on quick". Some do, some never. AM caught on pretty quick, eh . . . .


DAWG1277, leadership as you suggested in your post, coming from a young man that just stepped on campus, much needed in Athens. Good on Ray Drew. Understand that IC had a sleeping problem when Herschel was in town. They figured it out, all is good. These young players are fixing to go through a huge change in their academic and football lives, attend those classes.
