Abry Jones, Derrick Lott, Garrison Smith, Michael Thornton, DeAngelo Tyson, Geathers and Jenkins. Looks like we are 300+ when we line up in the 3 man front. Same could be said for the 4 man front. Those are serious players listed above, and in the second year in Grantham's scheme, this season should look nothing like last years model. Did not get a good look at Kwame last season or the Spring Game this year, just know what I have heard. If what I have read and listened to, my bet is we see a lot of the 4 man front. We stop folks, these players will have enough wind to get through the fourth quarter, won't be used up. Thoughts?

One or more of you folks come up with the linebacking corps and how you think it will play out, starters and backups. Don't like using the word backup, many of these players are within an "inch" of each other. :)

Well in the 3 man front the starting LB'ers would be Cornelius Washington and Jarvis Jones on the outside, w/ Alec Ogletree and Christian Robinson on the inside, with Robinson being the general on the field.

"Backups" would be Faloughi, R. Samuel, Chase Vasser, and M. Gilliard.

At least that is the way the depth chart reads after the spring.

I, for one, cant WAIT to see Ogletree at the LB position. I like that kid alot. He flies to the ball, and, like I've said before can knock the bill off a duck.

Robinson (per his social networking) is really humping it in the gym right now, and not afraid to let you know that. He, in my mind, has the most important position on that side of the ball since he will be the "captain" relaying all of the info for the next play. After he does that part, its up to the rest of the boys to....how do they say??? GATA!!

DAWG1277, give me some info if you can on Richard Samuel. Was RS handled right when he came on campus? It bothers me a bit that we did not see more out of this young fellow.

With you as many of us are when #9's jersey shows up. There will either be a collision, or there willl be some folks on the other side ducking( :) ) for sure.

I have been a supporter of Washington from the get-go. We hear or heard a lot about his speed, looks as if he has put on the needed muscle. Ray Drew heading to the practice field, this could shape up as a classic battle. luv it.

The following link is what really gets the blood moving. Excellent move by UGA.

DAWG1277, really like the fact that he (Olivadatti) has touched shoulders with Gregg Williams, great defensive mind, one of the very best (my opinion).

There is no doubt in my mind that Grantham has his head screwed on and we are going to be the beneficiaries of his coaching experience and . . . . the folks that he has come in contact with since leaving VaTech. Really aids what he is going to do at UGA.

Grantham will be watched as closely as Richt this season, or maybe closer. Reason, he supposedly has a lot of talent on that side of the ball.

Thought we might have someone speak to the DB's and Safeties. Lots of talent coming in (if not used on the offensive side) and existing talent. Putting heat on the quarterback, stopping running backs at the LOS is great, sooner or later we have to have cover guys.

Coach Them Up!!

I am on board fellows, just looking for some serious conversation. Love DEFENSIVE FOOTBALL. We seem to be headed in that direction . . . . . AGAIN, just been a while. :)

Buc.....the safety position is STILL the problem child. Incoming freshman can NOT step in and fill that position at this level. That position is so critical for being in THE right position. Can't trust a freshman no matter how good he was in HS. He can be the best S in the country and not understand coverage schemes at this level.

Big concern.....better get to the QB.
