my concern is the over all play of the secondary over the last 2 seasons. Getting beat deep, poor tackling, failing to make a "play" (quitting)......AO made a difference when he started and the secondary looked better when he was on the field.....now with him moving to ILB we are not going to have the best in the secondary.......but we have new "pups" coming in that I hope will pick it up and get some major playing time......over all the secondary got beat by some QB's and RB's that they should of never got beaten by, Miss. State and UCF come to mind right quick......
Without stirring up too much of a fuss . . . . .
That is one of the main reasons that we had and maybe still are going through "hot seat" issues. If UGA had a problem with lack of talent, it would be understandable from that point of view. UGA however did not and does not have a lack of talent. I understand the problems of different coaches and system, don't however understand . . . . . quitting and finger pointing. Thought that was gone with the WM regime.
ogredawg I agree with you on AO. The more he played, the more we saw #9 on the bottom of the pile. Hard for me to believe that there is not another "pup" or "gray beard" with enough talent to step up and play the position. Maybe not as well as AO, but well. Young man coming to Athens from down my way that I think would be perfect for the position . . . Ramik Wilson. Like AO, Ramik can play any position, offense or defense. Just a passing thought. He will push someone sooner rather than later for playing time, something along the lines of what AO did.
Problem with Ramik, he is going to continue to grow, will end up at one of the linebacking positions. Coach T will turn this young man into a football monster . . . .
