With the 3/4 and 4/3 (which I still think we are going to use a lot) the speed should cause a lot of problems. wlayton, stat wise, not sure if I have ever seen a team at UGA that has the promise that this upcoming unit does.
If one believes in the forecasters, Auburn, Alabama and maybe Florida had better recruiting years than we did. If that is the case, the SEC is truly a tough bunch. With you, it now comes down to coaching and of course the players have a little bit to do with that . . .
Would not trade AM for anyone, anywhere. Now we have some serious competition at running back, and I do like that. IC is a load, no doubt. WE has not performed up to his talent, think we will see that this season.
Also like the changes made at fullback. Following is a quote from Fred Muzenmaier about Figgins.
“Bruce is doing great,” Munzenmaier said. “Bruce is a tremendous tight end. I think just to see how well he does at fullback, he’s just a good football player. He’s getting out there and working hard every day. I respect a guy who just wants to get on the field anywhere he can and do as much as he can.”
Also like Alexander Ogletree, sometimes the size has to do with heart, and I have not doubts that Alexander has a huge heart . . . and he will do his job. Really think we are going to see some huge hits from the shorter of the twins.
South Carolina came away with a huge player at defensive end. If he gets past the offensive tackle, he still has a load to contend with. Coach T will definitely change Figgins' body, and his body ain't bad now.
Feel the same way that averagedawg does, keep your noses clean and have a wonderful ride in Athens.
