yankeedawg1, lots of things going on in Athens, know you must hate living there and having to see and hear all of the changes the coaching staff is making. Probably moaning over your chili dog right now. Awww to be a teenager again . . . Thanks for the update and the Athens sharing.
I know that most years we or me . . . get into that frame of mind that things are going to change and the Red and Black is back. What is going on now has the sweet smell of Spring. Attitudes seemed to have changed IMMENSELY.
Also think that Grantham does not throw accolades around easily, seems to be the kind of coach that believes respect is earned.
Picked this piece up from ecdawg's site.

Kwame Geathers is really buying in. About a week or so ago I talked to his uncle and cousin at a football meeting (sat with them), Kwame loves Coach T. Coach T has taken a special fondness of Kwame as well. In fact so much so, that Coach T has put Kwame in charge of leading lifts and runs. Kwame is making all the runs. He couldn't complete the 1 mile run last season.
I was told that Kwame is fighting to start at the Nose position. Kwame wants to win out over Jenkins. Now how is that for positive competition?
I think we will see a brand new Kwame. A quote of Grantham's today:
"I will say I’ve been pleased with Kwame Geathers in the offseason,” Grantham said. “I think he’s busted his tail, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do in the spring. … He’s worked hard. He’s older. He’s mature. He’s changed his body a little bit. He’s gotten stronger, and as he’s added weight, he’s decreased his body fat. I’ve seen him work really hard.”
