Buc, back to your question on who we think may have a special year.

From the newcomers, I wouldn’t be surprised if Christian Conley has an impact. UGA needs help at receiver, and he is already on campus and will go through spring practice.

We really need Marlon Brown to step up too. Believe he can be a starter.

wlayton, beginning to think that you are psychic. Great article in the ABH. Take a look, worth a few minutes. :)

Impressive kid Buc......had heard about his work ethic and believe he may be the "sleeper" that stands out this year. He could do an American Express commercial.

Couple of players that I am looking at Buc. First two are Sanders Cummings and Derek Owens. Sanders played well at time last year. Overall, had a pretty good year. Heard a lot about Owens during camp last year and that was about as far as it go. We have BB and BS back. But can't have too much depth at CB. Especially considering the projected 2 starters are both return men as well.

One position I am curious to see is WR. TK has shown glimpses of being special. Extremely good speed and has shown improvement each year. Can he be the #1 guy? I believe he can. We all have mentioned him before and he has already made an impact. I just see him taking off this year. Believe the kid can and needs to be close to the 800-900yd receiving mark.

I am also curious to see what the other Ogletree brother does. Plays extremely hard. He is undersized for typical UGA FB, but I also believe he is probably better in the open field than recent FB's.

TJ Stripling is one I am anxious to see.

I look for Orson Charles to have an exceptional year.

If AM can engineer a few blowouts and get LeMay some playing time, I think he will be impressive. Watched him at Butler--amazing athlete and team player. Gives credit for his success to his receivers. Not a "me, me, me" kind of guy.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Something that is beginning to rise to the surface in this thread and I really like it. We have some folks that have character, maybe some of the foolishness that caused us problems in the recent past will disappear. Guys can have character and also be a bad ass on the field.

Players like that usually take to coaching real well. I know that Orson Charles is a stand up guy, as is AM, and it appears that LeMay is the same. LeMay had a problem his Senior year in high school, hope that is behind him. Know that I was excited when he commited to UGA.

If some of you folks read the column today in the Athens Banner Herald, great article on Christian Conley. Folks like LeMay, AM, Conley, Charles and others are the type of athletes that are looking for championships. They play the game of football to win, just as they play the game of life, to win.

Going with averagedawg on this one. Orson Charles should be lights out.

Looking at some of the names in this thread, makes me wonder why we would ever come close to a losing or break even season. Damn sure not a lack of talent on the players part. Takes me back to that leadership thingy. I sure hope that McGarity has a strong grip on that, feel like he does. Coach these young men up . . . . they came to UGA to win. I still think I see 9 wins, with all respect to Duck. :)
