This sucks, but I'm glad it happened now rather than in, say, June. 6 months is enough time to heal.

With this type of injury though, the affects can be permanent. My dad broke his ankle in his 20s and it was never the same again. He still has problems with it 35+ years later.

Surgeries and rehab's are so much better than in your Dad's day. It's amazing what they can do now versus "back in the day" (my day too  )

Thanks yd1, I can breathe now. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

However, it is concerning because once you severely sprain an ankle, it’s very easy to do it again. I wouldn’t let him step on a field without an ankle brace from now on.

I'm speaking of a brace on top of rappings. They are light, comfortable and also helps against high ankle sprains. Yep, tape him up AND put that brace on.

Speaking of braces......I've NEVER understood why they don't put a brace on the left knee of a right handed QB. That left knee is so exposed during the throwing motion when the QB plants his back foot and shifts his weight to his front foot during his motion. Certainly wouldn't hurt to have one on....imo.

Was pretty much aware of what you were saying wlayton. Agree.

Something else about AM that is comforting to me, his statement below. . . . What leaders and gentlemen are made of.

“Thanks for all the prayers and concerns,” Murray tweeted on Monday night, “but (it’s) just a little sprain and (I’ll) be up and going in no time.”
