Feb 21, 2011 - Aaron Murray has sustained a severe leg injury, breaking his right ankle in two places according to RedAndBlack.com's Zach Dillard. The report cites team sources, though the program has yet to comment. Official word will come out at some point Monday, after Murray has been further evaluated by medical staff.

Murray was reportedly injured during "team activities" Saturday afternoon, visiting team doctors immediately afterward.

Just in case you're wondering, here's a look at Georgia's likely 2011 quarterback depth chart. If Murray must miss time, the offseason's biggest story will be a QB showdown between Hutson Mason and incoming freshman Christian LeMay.

Murray was expected to be one of the SEC's best quarterbacks as a sophomore, and had been perhaps the single brightest spot in an otherwise dismal 2010 for Georgia football. A serious injury to Murray would all but eliminate the optimism built up in Athens by a strong recruiting class and encouraging coaching hires

What bone did he break in HS, Buc? Was it his ankle then too? Definitely wouldn't be good if so.

This is the way AM is, balls to the wall, everything that he does. He is a driven young man. He will be our QB when the whistle sounds in ATL. This has to be a sign to the other two, never know when coach is going to call your number. Still say damn . . .

ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME??????

That just about takes the cake. If he's not ready for Boise St they will kick our butts.

It wasn't a break was it.......just a fracture?? If a fracture, he will heal up quickly.

UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can walk into a penthouse and come out the outhouse.
