Traded 1 WR for another - from AJC
Witchett’s loss left the Bulldogs with 15 commitments less than a month away from national signing day. But it won’t likely be very long before they’re back to 16.
That’s because Georgia wide receivers coach Tony Ball is supposed to be down in Leesburg today. There, Lee County wide receiver Sanford Seay is expected to accept the scholarship offer he received from the Bulldogs just this past weekend.
“It came as a surprise,” Seay said of the UGA offer. “I mean, I knew there was a chance it could come but I just didn’t know when.”
Seay (6-2, 190) was named Class AAAA all-state after logging 68 receptions and 1,105 yards and 15 touchdowns this past season.
