Deja Vu'

I have read all comments and I understand everyone point of view. CMR is a wonder man, and he has had some sucess at UGA. What is going on now is not a current problem, we have been going down for the past 5 years. Don't ya'll think it is posssible that CMR just does not care anymore. It is constantally making excusses and always says we will go back and regroup to do our best. I don't know, maybe with all the arrest and problems, the lack of winning and he has to know about the disguested fan base.

I know you will tell me if I am wrong, but just try to think about it and go over the things that have happened over the past 4 years. I for one just don't see anything getting better, and I know you all say to give it time. Well this is the 5th year of our decline from SEC champs to now being below vandy and KY.

I 'm sorry to be negitive, just help me or show me how things are improving and that it will be better.

We have won two of our last eight SEC games.
Explain that, coach.

Yep, it's true, CMR has done worse in the past four years (.731) than the first 5(.800). Of course, overall CMR is .769, and I wonder if anyone complaining even bothered to check that CVD ended what some are still calling the greatest coaching stint in UGA history at .715. This is alot like having a Ferrari in the garage and complaining that it's not a Lambourghini (CMR, I mean.)

I thought Dooley was overrated.
If we lose to Mississippi State, Richt will be compared to Phil Fulmer.
Fair or not.

Explain this:
From 2000-2009
CMR is fourth on the list of winningest active coaches. In their first 13 years, Paul Johnson and Tom Osbourne amassed 127 wins, putting them top of that list. CMR needs 38 wins in 4 seasons to move to the number one spot. That is 9.5 wins per year.

Through 2009, Georgia was the 13th winningest program. Guess what our all time percentage was? .646. Compare that to CMR’s record and explain that! (BTW, we also had two NCs in that time, but you complain that CMR isn’t delivering the goods.)

Since 1950, Georgia is the 15th winningest program. Since 2000? #9.

Since 2000, Georgia has the 12th best conference winning percentage, bettered only by LSU and Florida.

Over the last seven years (2003-2009) Georgia has the fourth best away record, and ranks 9th for total wins.

Georgia is tied for 5th with all time bowl wins, and is tied for fifth for active bowl streaks.

None of that matters in todays college football. Conference championships are the measuring stick. And what Richt did in the 8 years ago is not relevant to the last 2+ years of disappointment.

Richt is no Ferrari.
