Forget trying to figure it out

Not trying to be a jerk here....but I think winning the East Title with a freshman QB, (what many analysts believed) a weak secondary and a whole new defensive scheme was way too optimistic.

Honestly I think most of our fan base that actually thought that we could be world beaters here were looking at the whole situation with Georgia colored glasses.

I look at it this way. We held SC to 17 with isn't bad. Their D has always been tough and last week we saw that. Today we almost beat Ark. They were ranked 12 in the country if I'm not mistaken. Our weak secondary just wasn't up to the task. I counted 3 TD's on broken coverage. This team isn't very good right now but at least we aren't getting blown out. I'm not writing this team off yet. I do however...think that 7-5 or 8-4 would be an excellent season for this group.

I think it is high time we faced facts and realize that we don't lose games because AJ is out. We don't lose games because we are unprepared. We don't lose games because of discipline problems. We lose games because we got outplayed. That simple. As fans it is easy for us to point fingers instead of owning up to the truth. That truth is this years incarnation of the Georgia Bulldogs just isn't that good.

Well, as I've said before, and I'll say it again, if that is the case, then this "team" is sad and was doomed before the season began.

Sorry I started the thread, so let me finish it with a question to EVERYONE.......and I want everyone to think of all of the dynamics of the question before answering:

As close as the last two games were, if AJ had played in those 2 games, do you think he would have given us just enough of an edge to have won both games?

Again, I disagree. I still believe in the team concept, and in answer to your question above about would we have won with AJ in the game, I still say no, because in both cases, I believe the other coaches had their teams prepared much better than we were. I think they had a better game plan in place whether AJ was in or not. Of course that's just my opinion, but from what I've seen from this "team" so far, I don't believe AJ would have overcome our ineptitude in other areas, namely coaching.
