Buc, Finally got around to reading that article. Very good evaluation in my point. Believe the secondary is lucky to get an F because there play has just been awful at best. Couldn't agree more with Evans seeing less playing time. He is never on the same page. He got lucky when James dropped that touchdown pass Saturday and then tried to get mad at everyone else because he was the only play not play man like everyone else.

I have tried to make all the excuses I can to somewhat justify WM, but i am finished. My only fear is that if we do demote willie, he is already the secondary coach and look at their play this year. Just really disappointing, I mean 2 out of the last 3 years we sign the #1 db in the country and we are that bad in the secondary. I do like Boykins and Smith as players, but we have to find a safety that can break out of centerfield or the hash if we are going to continue to run zones. Jones is a step slow, and with the exception of the hit Evans put on Dez Bryant in the first game of the year, he is lost.

I know this is probably not an idea that a lot of people agree with but in CMR first year he had 2 freshmen qb's that both played. Greene and Shockley. Why not let the 2 freshmen compete know to get ahead start on next year. I don't even think that means you have to give up on this year. I mean what is the worse they could do. It isn't like we haven't been turning the ball over with Cox and Gray.

Go Dawgs, and start going in a hurry.

Most zones are designed to keep the football in front of the DB's, stopping the long bomb. Why are we getting beat long? Because these young fellows have not been taught how to play zone. It is an absolute must that the front four have to be able to put pressure on the QB and honestly that has not happened this year. We expected more from the front, just did not materialize. Want to see how a zone is played, check out Monte Kiffin's work. Folks, at this pace, it is not going to get any better between the hedges.

I do believe Monte is a hell of a DC, but i am not ready to exactly crown him. Just got torched by Garcia for 315yds, and over 400 total against a USC team that has only has success, well against us as far as offense goes. Monte is as good as they come, but its not from a lack of talent. Lynch, Brooks, and Barber potentially all hall of famers. Berry, 1st rounder. With all that being said, I like to believe that we could have a lot of NFL talent on our defense. I would hate to see what Monte would be able to do with the abundance of speed in our secondary.

Couldn't agree with you more about our defense. I guess we are playing the ole cover 0 zone. You have hit the nail on the head. Pressure up front equals hurried throws which leads turnovers.
