GATORStrong, totally agree with wlayton. This was thrown out for all that have an opinion. When it comes to the point that UGA and UF don't have opinions . . . . we better hang it up. Ha! You were very honest in your post, as I think you are in most of your posts.
An example of coaching, UF had a chance to re-hire SS but went in another direction. That choice made at the round table resulted in UM heading the program, and we can all see the results of that decision.
SS has been with the Gamecocks for a while now, what is missing . . . . the athletes that UM has surrounding him. Gamecocks are like many football teams in the SEC, good year for defense, bad or not so good for the offense. UM has both sides of the ball working, and that is what I call COACHING.
Same can be said for Saban. LSU, Bama, both football teams were \"coached up.\" Coached all the way to the top.
I live in fear that my Dawgs are going to make some of the same mistakes that Phat Phil made at UT. Many good athletes in Athens, have most of my problems with the staff. An example of what I am talking about. . . .Rex Robinson, noted kicking great at UGA said that Blair Walsh was not being handled correctly by his coach. Blair has been kicking the football in the end zone or deep since \"outside coaching\" was posted on the internet. Thanks Rex. Just because some of these people are coaches does not mean that \"outsiders\" don't have a better handle on how to IMPROVE.
wlayton, surprised me a bit. Did not know (of course) that you would rate Stoops last. Here is another case of a coach that has a lot of quality athletes at his disposal. Texas cannot recruit all of the great athletes for their school. Texas like Florida has many super football players.
