Joe Cox is a better passer than Stafford ever was

No, yards thrown is not part of the rating. Yards per attempt is. I disagree that pass efficiency rating is subjective. Its all about data and data is unbiased. That's the nice thing about analytics. Opinions are removed from the equation.

I do agree that there should be a minimum number of games or pass attempts made before a \"rating\" can be established. For instance if a QB has only thrown 1 pass and it was caught for a 10 yrd. touchdown, then he would have a perfect rating. Obviously, that is distorted data. We'll know a lot more about Cox after the next few weeks. So far, I don't see any drop-off in performance from Stafford.

I have said all along Stafford has more tools and potential than Cox. But at this time he is not a better passer than Cox. Look at the facts and stats and get over your sick infatuation with Stafford.

You're kidding me, you do realize that UGA has 3 or 4 of the most talented receivers in the SEC, right? An average running game should open up 2 of those receivers, with 3 of them there should always be one open.

And are you really comparing a 3 year starter and a bit 5 year player that only got to start his 5th year because his coach is too loyal? Lets recap:

Stafford.......Attempts-987 Completions-564 57.1%

Cox............Attempts-202 Completions-118 58.4%

Lets see what Cox does after 3 years.......oh wait thats right hes done after this year, all because he couldn't supplant what you are calling a superior passer, nice logic you've got there. Sorry if I would take the guy who earned that job for 3 years in a row when cox just got it handed to him because he hung around long enough to get the job.

I can honestly believe that because it happened, we were spoiled by his down field ability while cox is hit or miss mostly miss since his arm is about half of what staffords was.

Stafford was supposed to be the best QB in his class coming out of high school. 1 conference championship, 0 all-american, 0 Heisman finalist (not sure if he ever got a vote) 0 NC games.

So check your emotions and deal with facts.

The fact is that cox is not the answer and if stafford had these targets we most likely would have had better records and one NC at least.

Also I never put much stock in rankings, chris wells was the highest rated running back that year and I don't think he has even made a dent. You seem to be hyping up cox quite a bit and it seems hes leading us to a 4 or 5 loss season, you're right hype doesn't mean anything.

It has nothing to do with my ego, the fact is that for all your cheer leading, cox is a barely serviceable QB and if he hits just a few passes that first game and another 3 last week then the team would be undefeated. Those are facts.

At least its only one year we have to put up with this, but then we will still have WM to contend with until hes forced out because richt doesn't have the guts to fire him.

Yes and Gray looked great too...........watch the name calling. My temper is much worse than CMR. The whole team sucked today. I never defended COX, I merely stated facts that were backed up by stats, unlike you Stafford huggers that have such a clouded memory.
