Joe Cox is a better passer than Stafford ever was

or you must have a running back that is a threat to break one so they can't triple team your best receiver every play. Stafford was a career 57% passer. GA won one SEC championship under his reign.
The only one that should be carrying Stafford's jock strap is you guys on here that can see past a first round draft choice.

I have said all along Stafford has more tools and potential than Cox. But at this time he is not a better passer than Cox. Look at the facts and stats and get over your sick infatuation with Stafford.

quote\"With stafford teams KNEW that if they stacked that box he was going to hit those WRs down the field,\" How can you honestly believe that? he was a 57% passer and half of those were wide receiver or bubble screens. Cox is 59% and I am pretty sure we haven't used nearly as many wide receiver screens this year,

Find us a running back that is 80% of Knowshon and we win out or least score 30+ a game. CWM will probaly make sure that is not enough.

quote
\"if he was then he would have supplanted him during his time here\"
yea we all know how that works with Richt.

Maybe you post hogs should learn something about football, hype doesn't win crap....Crash 2008 mean anything to you.

Stafford was supposed to be the best QB in his class coming out of high school. 1 conference championship, 0 all-american, 0 Heisman finalist (not sure if he ever got a vote) 0 NC games.

So check your emotions and deal with facts.

I'm done with you short sighted narcissist on this subject.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

Don't really want to pour fuel on the fire but if you go all the way back to the O.P., it was made after week three and it was factually correct. As I was the second poster on this thread, what I stated then still holds true. AT THAT TIME, Cox had a better QB rating than Stafford ever had over a three game stretch. Cox had a QB rating of 172 which is tops in the Nation. Stafford was never close to that over a three game period.
The rest is semantics.

The entire arguement is semantic to be honest. Even QB rating is kind of a subjective stat to go by because yds thrown counts quite a bit in the computation. To my knowledge Stafford never had to to throw for over 350 yrds (and only threw for 300+ maybe three times in his career) because the running game was so good.

Cox is the starter this year and the sooner we learn to live with that the better in my opinion. At the end of the day I don't believe Cox has ever lost a game by himself. Let us just feel fortunate that Crompton isn't here lining up under center.

Crompton wouldn't start for Bolles High School here in Jacksonville.

Er...wow what a weird post.

Stafford was a great passer and a poor leader. That's all. Also, Georgia NEVER won the SEC title with Stafford. Our last title was 2005, and D.J. Shockley was our quarterback.

Don't be a moron.
