Stafford would have overthrown half of these touchdown passes. If we had a defensive coordinator and some discipline (penalties) we would be in contention for the NC.

I would not say a better passer but I really do think he is a better QB. Don't laugh. Cox IS better than Stafford! His current passer rating is better than Stafford's ever was. True!
Of course UGA's D is the worst in the SEC and ranked near 100 nationally.

GinGA, I know we rank bad, and it is disheartening. You also have to remember, we haven't played a cupcake yet. Most teams have played two cupcakes already. Some, three!

Joe Cox is a far better quarterback than Stafford, because Stafford doesn't know what it means to be a leader. He's as in love with his arm as Mel Kiper, Jr. is (actually, maybe not. I think Kiper wants to take Stafford's arm on a date), and his solution for everything is \"Chuck it down the field.\" If Stafford were a great quarterback, we would have been undefeated national champs in 2007. Period. Stafford has a great arm. That's it. He's JaMarcus Russell.
Joe Cox is a leader, with a stronger arm than people think because most people want to compare him to Stafford. David Greene didn't have a cannon, he just WON BALLGAMES. So far, as a Georgia starter, JoeC is 3-1. Not bad.

Love Joe but after this season he will be working a 9-5 job making 40M a year. MS was meant to be a pro QB. Let's don't be in too much of a hurry to make that judgement after ONE big game against a very BAD defense versus 3 years of winning (dispite Bobo's play calling) by MS. I think you all forget that MS did beat ALL our major opponents (again, dispite Bobo), UF, Bama, AU, LSU, UT etc.

wlayton, your right. JCis a good QB, but he is not better than Stafford. I think just the additions of Aron White and Orson Charles is huge for JC. Stafford had a horrible tight end. And JC recievers catch the ball better. Nobody was claiming JC was better than Stafford after the OK St game, lets get through more of the season, and some better D then Arkansas plays, then make that comparison.
