I tend to like a stable full of backs just in case your \"go to\" back goes down for some reason. Plus, it gives you more options where as a with a single back the D tends to key in on that back more. And if you mix it up, it tends to keep them on their toes more often. Just my opinion.
Your right wlayton. BUT, what if and you can what if all day long; Herschel, Garrison, Knowshon etc. were to break a leg or collar bone and were unable to finish the season? I was always taught NOT to put all your eggs in one basket.
True.......but WHAT a basket (plus UGA always has good backups....rather have a stud with 2 adequate backups than 3 above average RB's sharing time). I've just always liked the \"go to guy\" as I believe most all coaches prefer. Fortunately UGA has great backups at every position (except maybe DE!!!!!).
