Guess ya'll saw we lost the recruiting battle for Mack Brown to UF. Would really have liked to have gotten him.....very good RB. Number 56 player in the country and live in Lithonia Ga. for crying out loud.
BTW.....WHY would you want to go to UF if you are a big time RB. I would want to go to a program where I would be a \"feature back\" that would get the ball 20-25 times per game. AIN'T gonna happen at UF.

So right about Brown, wlayton. If he stays healthy he will be a hand full in the coming years. Most of the folks that I know down this way seem to think that Tebow leaving puts John Brantley squarely in the drivers seat. Brantley will not be working out of the same formations that Tebow has these past years. Brantley is a big time passer, set many records in Florida, so . . . . to be successful, Florida is going to need a back of Brown's caliber. Understand that a coach has been brought in to work with Brantley and get him ready for some of the new \"stuff\".

Some of you know that I was/am on the wagon with Carlton Thomas. Watched him in high school and know that he has one gift that sets him apart from others around him. Desire. KM had that.
I Have read and listened to many reasons why this young man may or may not contribute much to UGA. Rex Robinson has an article on running backs that pretty much repeats what I have been saying and thinking about this young man. Throw it out there for what it is worth.

Yeah Buc, CT is a special talent and agree with Rex to use him particularly on special teams as well as RB. Just don't see him getting 20-25 carries at RB. Too much physical punishment in the SEC for a back his size. Would like to see him get the ball 15 times from the RB position and all the special teams return duties.
Believe he WILL make some big plays for us in the coming years. I've never really liked RB by committee myself......prefer a \"go to guy\" like KM etc and give him a breather once in a while. Just believe a \"go to\" RB gets into a good rythm both running, blocking and receiving where by committee it's harder to do and can hurt the continuity of a drive. Last 2 years, it seemed when KM got a breather, our drive stalled (especially in the red zone). Complete the drive then give a breather on the next possesstion etc.
