GAME DAY: WLOCP BULLDOGS AND gators

I thoroughly enjoy reading what "mixed up and confused reporters" have to say when discussing gator football. One day before the showdown in JAX, the reporter below and many others in the Sunshine State were already moving on from Georgia to meet the Western Side of the SEC in the SEC Conference Title Game.

Amusing that this particular writer now "understands" Third and grantham. Why? Because he finally got to live what so many others have known long enough to crown grantham with the 3rd & grantham halo. First game that grantham's defense ran into a team that openly states and brags about their offensive line. Writer mentions he is a grantham fan . . . . please remain so and implore mullen to keep grantham as long as he is the head coach.

Much belly aching in the gator nation, but the "noise" is not so much at the Georgia Bulldogs, it is pointed at their saviors, mullen and grantham, for the most part, grantham. gators losing much of their talent from the 2019 team, recruiting not anything to brag about, and they get to take another football lesson in JAX in 2020.

Problem with this writer and many gator followers . . . . It is not "how" you get there, it is "getting there". Not always how you drive, it is how you arrive . . . .

Bear with me, living among the gators, it's much worse than back in the day and the battles with Georgia Tech. Dating way, way back. There is a war like feeling when the Dawgs and gators meet each year. Believe 2019 to be one of the most emotional games played between the two universities, maybe ever. mullen and grantham had led the "faithful" to believe that when the game was over, gator fans would relive the prosperous years under steve spurrier.

Mention has been made in this thread about the gators losing a lot of talent.

Couple of gatorcountry.com reporters discuss the game. Interesting to say the least. Might be the last thing I post about mullen/grantham and the gators . . . . for a while. Maybe . . . .

Nick: Yeah. I don’t think they had to play perfect at all. I don’t think, in years past you and I have said, listen, Florida needs to be perfect, and Georgia needs to be on their C- game. I didn’t think that coming into the game. Even after the loss and after watching it, I don’t think that now.

But I want to get into this. This is going to be a little bit long-winded. The talent gap doesn’t get better. I thought this would be the best year for Florida, because these are some of the guys you’re losing for Florida that you have to replace. Jon Greenard, Adam Shuler, Van Jefferson, Tommy Townsend, Nick Buchanan, Luke Ancrum’s gone. Lamical Perine’s gone. Josh Hammond, Freddie Swain, Jeawon Taylor, David Reese, Tyrie Cleveland. Who knows, Feleipe Franks has been kind of weird when asked about what’s going on with him.
