The play there was to leave Fields in and run the read option again.

Kirby cost us this one. Fromm was off from the get go.

Welp...

We showed up unprepared on the field, on the sidelines, and in the booth. When we missed on 2 of the first 3 drives when we should have scored on both, it was over.

The staff refused to use Fields to keep LSU off-balance in the middle two guarters and then you all know the rest of the story.

Fromm was off. He has been for a few weeks. All the season goals are still out there but if you you can't bench a player performing like shit then there is no point.

Last year in the NC game, Alabama had a struggling QB and no offense, and there was no hesitation to turn to a true freshman #1 recuit.

In a similar situation, we stubbornly refused to make a similar move.

At some point, we had nothing to lose and that should have been earlier in game when you could have went back with Fromm with the game still in reach if it didn't work.

Hopefully we learned from this situation, and wont make the same mistake again.

What bothered me the most today was something I thought we had overcome, and that is not having anything to turn to when the first can we opened didn't work.
